Applies the Debuff to every Toon on the Floor, causing them to extract much slower than usual (-25% Extraction Speed)

Appearance

Twisted Shelly has red sclerae with black irises and red pupils with two eyelashes on the bottom of her eyes. Her head resembles a beige ammonite shell with a black aperture on her left side, which has Ichor dripping out of it. She has smudged peach blush covered by Ichor splotches. Ichor covers her shoulders and flows halfway down her arms. Her outfit consists of a light brown undershirt with a dark brown dress over it, similar to her Toon counterpart: Ichor covers the bottom of her dress along with a few extra splotches. Below her dress is her torso, composed of an exposed rib cage which looks to be that of a dinosaur's, with the tips of each rib sharpened and stained with Ichor. Twisted Shelly has a pointy bone tail protruding out of her lower body, which is covered in Ichor structured like that of theropod dinosaur. She is on the larger and taller side when compared to other Twisteds, and she gets visually slightly more excited when chasing a Toon (similar to and ).

Strategies

Twisted Shelly has a high chasing speed of 20, being as fast as, along with an above average attention span, being the same as 's. She also applies the Debuff to all Toons on a given Floor, giving them all -25% Extraction Speed. While this may not greatly affect Toons with better Extraction Speed or high Skill Check Stats, progression is important and it can be annoying when distractors have to perform their role for slightly longer—especially when handling not only Twisted Shelly but more problematic Twisteds, such as, who inflicts to reduce Movement Speed, who is even faster than Twisted Shelly, who constantly summons tendrils that can block the distractor's path, and, who inflicts to reduce Stamina regeneration. Twisted Shelly can become more intense to distract if with long-ranged Twisteds such as, and (if you have valuable Items, such as s), as keeping track of the long range attack cooldown but also the speed of Twisted Shelly is incredibly difficult and you will get hit if you aren't careful. If you can't focus on both her speed and the ranged attacks, then you can get hit and escape (though this isn't the best method), which, in summary, makes Twisted Shelly extremely problematic, although a fast Toon like shouldn't have a problem, being able to out-walk her; although they'll have to distract for a longer time, either way. Extraction Speed Trinkets can help combat the debuff she gives, the most notable being and. However, Golden Skill Checks are unaffected by the Confused I Debuff and continue to add more completion, reducing total extraction time.

Patch history

Twisted Shelly's Debuff reducing Extraction Speed reflects how her Toon counterpart's Inspiration Ability increases Extraction Speed. Her fast chasing speed could also be a poke at her Passive Ability, and how it allows her to increase her Movement Speed when a Machine is finished. Twisted Shelly is the second Twisted to apply Debuffs, applying throughout the Floor she's in, with the first being, applying when chasing a Toon, applying and when his Capsule is picked up, and, applying when chasing a Toon, and the third being the before-rework, who used to apply when a Machine is finished. 's flowers technically also apply the Debuff, although it's not shown over the Toon's head. Before v0.15.1, her presence on a Floor was the only way to get the I version of a Debuff as a Toon. After v0.15.1, Ichor Leaks apply, however she is still the only Twisted to apply the I version of a Debuff. Even though applies the, it's to Twisteds, and not to Toons. Additionally, it's the only thing that uses a Confused Debuff that is not Confused III (applied by Twisted Rodger and afflicted onto when using his Active Ability). Similar to how Shelly likes extinct dinosaurs, Twisted Shelly's body is shaped and has posture much like the theropods, which were the bipedal carnivorous dinosaurs and the group that contains the birds of the modern era. Twisted Shelly has the shortest attention span between the Twisteds, having only 2 seconds. Prior to v0.3.0, Twisted Shelly's Debuff was (-50% Extraction Speed) instead of (-25% Extraction Speed).
