Appearance

The icon appears as a peachy-yellow light bulb. Its base is gray and it has a slight orange tint at the edges that might allude to age. The wires inside are white with little loops for the electricity current.

Strategies

Though Blackouts are usually not that common, it's best to use it if you really struggle against this event. If you want to see or guide teammates better with your light-producing Toon, Spare Bulb can also be used to their advantage. It can also be stacked with others to give more radius for light producing Toons. This can be very helpful because if any of your teammates are starters, it can help them see better in Blackouts and gives you the ability to guide them better. This Trinket could prove useful against Twisteds with high detection ranges like, ranged attacks like 's pull, or darker/shorter designs like or 's tendrils, however, having or on your team would be able to provide more information due to their Abilities, with less risk of being spotted and damaged. It may be better to use if you struggle with Blackouts, with the added bonus of working outside of Blackouts and highlighting Twisteds behind walls, though unlike Spare Bulb, Party Popper only works for the player using it, is only activated when extracting Machines, and only highlights Twisteds without directly improving vision. Party Popper additionally won’t highlight ’s hands, ‘s capsule, or Twisted Sprout’s tendrils, things that Spare Bulb could better protect you from.

Below are the light radii of light-producing Toons with Spare Bulb equipped. For Toons who aren't light-producing (25 light radius), their light radius is increased to 31.25.

Trivia

Spare Bulb is the first and currently only Trinket that is specifically designed for Blackouts. It is the first Trinket to be designed around Floor Events in general. If not counting, and, as they are present in their Toons' models, Spare Bulb is the first Trinket that doesn't match its respective Toon's color scheme, along with, with the second being, the third being, the fourth being, and the fifth being. However, you could count the light blue from the Fishing Rod's toy fish for, the yellow from 's star in her hoodie for Lucky Coin, the red from 's nose for Festive Lights, and the red from 's half moon for Moon Pack Heirloom.
