Unicorn Woods

LocationsDead Rails

Overview[1]

Rocks and cacti are replaced by pine trees and mushrooms. Unicorns spawn here very often. Unicorn Woods is a rare biome variant in Dead Rails.

The Unicorn Woods is a biome added in the Wonders Weapons update. In the biome, Unicorns have a good chance of replacing groups of Horses that spawn, including those ridden by Outlaws. The biome appears similar to the Werewolf Woods, only the grass is a brighter shade of green and the rocks are replaced by red and blue mushrooms. The pine trees are a brighter shade of green as well. It’s also more likely to rain Unicorn Blood here, making this one of the most profitable biomes.

Strategy

It’s suggested players try to capture the Unicorns alive, as they sell for $250 whilst alive, rather than 150. Though, this limits the players storage if kept in the sack. Since it rains Unicorn Blood more often in this biome, it’s up to the players if they want to use bottles to obtain it, as it is a ingredient of every Potion. Since this biome already gives Money in very large qualities, it is advised a few Unicorns are kept for movement, as Unicorns have one of the highest walkspeed in the game.

Patch history

Formerly, shortly after entering the Unicorn Woods, the ground and sky will turn bright yellow. Only when you do enter the biome, it turns green. The reason for this was unknown, before it was revamped in the Lighting Update. The Unicorn spawn rate is on par with the spawn rate of Horses in the Wild. The Unicorn Woods so far is the best biome considered by the community, due to being very commonly inhabited by Unicorns. Due to this, people can generate an unbelievable amount of money, or can use it as a mean of transportation with the 45 walkspeed of the Unicorn. Additionally, only 1 Unicorn provided here could be used for both Tame a Unicorn challenge and badge, alongside UFO Easter Egg challenge, making them way more easier than they used to be.
