Unique locations, commonly referred to as "POIs" or "Points of Interest," are special structures which contain valuable loot compared to traditional structures.
They have also unique structure looks, making them more "interesting" except for one, which is a regular town. Although POIs are crucial parts of your run, they can spawn Entities preventing you to get free loot. The Castle is the hardest while also being the most rewarding.
Trivia
In towns, there is a chance for a large town to only have 1 Bank. The town is the only POI that is not a single building and not having unique structures. Sterling has the same layout of a small town, but some of the buildings there cannot be found anywhere else (e.g. the black House) Tesla Lab and Fort Constitution cannot spawn between the same two Fortified Towns. Sterling, Tesla Lab, Fort Constitution (not confirmed) and Stillwater Prison can all spawn in the same 9,000-19,000 meters. (10,000 meters is not confirmed to spawn them all) Stillwater Prison is the only POI to have its own custom soundtrack. Category:Locations
