Overview[1]

Runner Zombie; Dynamite Zombie; Ironclad Zombie; Banker Zombie; Sheriff Zombie; number: 20-35 (Small); 30-50 (Medium); 45-70 (Large); distance: 100 (Small); 150 (Medium); 200 (Large) Towns are randomized groups of Buildings that can be found every 8km, starting at 7.5km.

Towns always spawn every 8000 meters after 7500 meters on either side of the track, although they will not at the 39500m or 79500m mark due to overlapping with important structures. Additionally, Towns do not appear past the 70km mark. Each Town can randomly spawn in one of three sizes, except for the first one which is always the smallest size. Towns always spawn Houses, at least 1 Bank, and a Church. Additionally, Towns may include Sheriff Offices, Doctor’s Offices, Gunsmiths, General Stores, and Furniture Stores. Similarly to other Points of Interest, Towns are a quick way to earn large numbers of Valuables quickly. However, it can also be very dangerous due to being flooded with large numbers of Zombies (and their more dangerous variants), with more depending on how large the Town is. By eliminating most of the dangerous Zombies, players can be privileged to plenty of rewards.

Town Variants

Towns can generate in three variants, detailed below.

Loot

Junk Valuables Weapons, although Ranged Weapons (excluding Turrets) are only found in Gunsmith or Sheriff’s Office Ammunition (Only at a Gunsmith or Sheriff’s Office) 1-2 Crucifix (Only at the Church) 0-2 Holy Water (Only at the Church) Bonds Bank Note (From the Banker Zombie)

Strategy

Avoid waking up the zombies unless you're well prepared or have a good team. Use melee weapons to take out zombies obstructing a path and prevent sprinting too much. If the horde is awoken by explosions or gunshots (especially from Sheriff Zombies) then avoid trying to loot the town unless you have a ranged weapon or is using a strong Class. Be weary when entering buildings after alerting the zombies as some will get stuck and potentially chip your health unexpectedly. Vampire is surprisingly excellent for looting towns due to their lifesteal and fast movement speed as well as increased melee damage. You can hastly land hits on sleeping zombies to kill them before they wake up. If you are inside a Town at night, you can use a Barrel, Painting, or Sheet Metal to block the door so enemies cannot come inside. Alternatively, you can climb the roof of a House so that you're completely safe against enemies except for Zombies and Vampires who have unique methods of reaching the players. If you are using a speedy class or have a Horse, you can gather up all the Zombies and kill them with an AoE weapon, such as Molotovs, Holy Water, or the Electrocutioner. You can also line them up and shoot them with a weapon that has piercing bullets. Sometimes, a horde can be awoken naturally by an overlapping Horseback Outlaws, since outlaws attempt to shoot the zombies, alerting them in the process. It is recommended to take out Sheriff Zombies from afar due to their massive damage potential.

Patch history

8 (4 In Bite-sized Mode) Towns spawn throughout the entire map. Buildings can generate inside each other at the corners of intersections, causing some loot within them to be unobtainable without the use of glitches. This does not happen in small Towns, due to these corners not being present. Although very rare, up to 5 Banks can spawn in the same Town. A small Town can have up to 4. Towns can appear approximately 500m behind or forward their usual spawn points. The first town used to be able to spawn at any size before the 4/11/25 update. It is possible for Banks to spawn without any loot inside the vault due to a bug. (fixed now) Category:Locations
