Overview
Banker Zombies are hostile Enemies exclusively found near Banks within Towns. Banker Zombies have black top hats, tuxedos, and white beards. Banker Zombies are statistically identical to Normal Zombies. However, Bankers drop a 5 digit code on death that can be used to open the corresponding Bank vault in Towns.
Strategy
Banker Zombies always spawn somewhat close to their own Bank. If there are multiple Banks within a Town, it is recommended to kill the Banker near the location he spawned to lower the chances of mixing up the codes. If multiple Banks and Bankers spawned close to each other, try each code on a vault until you find one that works. Note that each bank has exactly 1 code that corresponds to it. Try to kill Banker Zombies on solid ground rather than inside a Building, as there is a chance the Bank Note can glitch into the floor and become inaccessible. Additionally, avoid dragging or unstoring Bank Notes inside buildings, since they also have a chance to glitch into the floor. If a Bank Note is inaccessible for any reason, players should use explosives to blow up the vault door. Note that the explosion may cause some of the loot to disappear. Kill the Banker outside of the Train's cabin, as the Bank Combo is a fuel item, which could lead it to being voided. As of the Zombie Rework update, you can hit 3-4 fully-charged hits on Basic Zombies, including the Banker before it wakes up fully and is able to attack.
Patch history
The human version of the Zombie Banker used to exist, and resides at the Lobby Bank. The human version looks like the Tailor NPC in the Tailor building. Banker Zombies can rarely spawn inside Bank vaults. If it was another Banker's vault, it is possible to enter that one first, kill the Banker, and only then obtain the code. If it was their own vault, players must use alternative means to access the vault. If the Banker Zombie's clothes are somehow removed (for example, due to internet connection problems), the old design (brown torso and legs) can be seen underneath the clothes. Banker Zombies' beards used to deflect bullets. The Banker Zombie's beard is called "The Wisest Beard and Mustache" in the files. Previously, if a Bank Note was dropped by a Banker Zombie revived by the Strange Mask, the Jade Sword, or a Necromancer, the Bank Note would display the number "0". As of now, this Bug has been patched. This is because each Banker's code is 0 by default (presumably a placeholder). It changes to a 5 digit number once the game connects it to a Bank. Can be affected by the Flying Blood glitch, making the corpse float in the air and unable to be dragged. The Tailor, Conductor, and Banker are the only human NPCs that spawn in the Lobby, but not in the actual game. There are 10 human NPCs in total, the others being Outlaws, Soldier, 2 types of Covenants, Yeat, Elves and Santa. Elves, Santa, Tailor, Conductor and Banker all use the "Default Face" face. Normal Zombies, Banker Zombies, Ironclad Zombies, Covenant Knights and Zombie Elves all use the "Drool" face.
