Train; Classes; Bonds; Gamepasses; Christmas Bundle; Tailor; Conductor The Lobby is a key location in Dead Rails.
The Lobby is a town-like location where players spawn in upon joining the game, serving as a central hub for interacting with other players and purchasing certain features using Bonds or Robux Robux before starting a run. Within the Lobby, various shops allow players to purchase Starting Items that only last for one game. Players may also purchase Bonds directly using Robux Robux through the Bank. Players can also unlock new Classes at the Tailor or Trains at the Train Station by spending Bonds. Players can also swap between any Classes or Trains they currently own at these locations. Players can also view or purchase Gamepasses through the advertising boards near the front of the Lobby. To earn additional Bonds and Star Points, players can complete challenges listed on the Challenge Board. At the front of the Lobby stands the Train Platform, where players can create parties for runs. The lobby creator selects a gamemode and sets the maximum number of participants (from 1 to 10). The lobby creator's Train is always picked to be used, rather than using a voting system or picking randomly.

Strategy
Check Starting Items's strategies if you want to buy some for a starting edge, though it is recommended to buy Classes and Trains first, as they are permanently unlocked after purchasing. To buy Starting Item, go to the Doctor, Gunsmith and General Store. To check them, click the Sack. If you are considering buying a Gamepass, check Gamepasses's strategies to find out which ones you'll actually need to not waste Robux. Buying Bonds aren't recommended as they are somewhat overpriced, and they are very easy to farm if you have time. However, you can still consider buying them if you want a large amount of Bonds right away or if you wish to support the devs. From 22/11/2025 - 30/11/2025 players could join a special lobby (Yeat Lobby). Players could go to the Church's place and see a big gate that teleports them to the Yeat Lobby. The sky here is darker. Around this lobby, there are a lot of barricades and speakers. The special feature here is that you can only play Yeat Event.
Patch history
As of the 14/3/2026 update, you cannot access the interior of the buildings anymore. During early stages of the game, Players didn't have to create parties. Instead, players have to queue between 4 people, 3 people or 2 people on the train platform respectively. This means you couldn't have a team more than 4. The Lobby is the only place that allows players to directly buy Bonds. (Outdated)Although stores in the game use the current physical checkout system, the Lobby stores still use the old prompt system, though this could be intended to avoid excess clutter in the Lobby. (Outdated)Although General Stores in the game have significantly more Items that are randomly chosen to be on sale, the one in the Lobby always has the same 4 products. The Lobby looks similar to a small Fortified Town, except with new buildings, a different layout, and no normal Houses or Zombies. The similarities used to be a Town. The Church in the previous Lobby isn't as useful as normal Churches, since there is no use of it in the Lobby except for decoration. The Trading Post and Sheriff’s Office were used to spawn inside the Lobby. They were removed as of the Classes Update, since they don't have any functions inside the Lobby. Party hitboxes are slightly larger than the white squares suggest (about 1.75x the thickness of the lines more to be exact). The Ladder behind the Church is called "TheHatchLadder" in the files. However, it was not removed after the event ended. As of 14/3/2026 the Church has been removed. The Lobby is currently the only town in Dead Rails to not have a church.
