Strategy
Avoid going out at night (10PM - 6AM) to avoid hostile entities, in this biome enemies can not spawn at day, making a clearer looting opportunity. In Bite-Sized Mode, the first Town will spawn at around 4km, this means it will unavoidably spawn in the first biome, to avoid this, play on Normal Mode, or a other 80km mode. This is a problem as the first town is forced to be a small town for optimisation, this can spawn in a biome such as the Werewolf Woods, causing your run to almost certainly end if not properly prepared.
Trivia
In real life, it’s very infrequent for it to rain in a desert. Though, not impossible. The chance of it raining as much as it does in Dead Rails in real life is almost certainly impossible. In real life, it’s impossible for a desert to be next to a forest.
