Overview[1]
37.5km (37.500m) in Edison's Revenge and Bite-Sized Mode; Runner Zombie; Nikola Tesla; More... Outlaw's Town, commonly referred by players as Final Outpost, The End, The Bridge or The final battle is a key location in Dead Rails.
Outlaw's Town is the final major location players will encounter during a run, appearing at the very end of the track. It resembles the Fortified Towns scattered throughout the map, though with a few key differences such as the lack of any American flags or shops. Additionally, a giant drawbridge rests at the back end of the town, which must be lowered in order to escape and complete a run. True to its name, Outlaw's Town is inhabited solely by Outlaws, who will fire on any player who gets too close. In addition to the standard Outlaws roster, there are also three Outlaws manning Maxim Guns at corners of the town that will fire at any player in sight. Once all the Outlaws are dealt with, players will have the chance to loot the town for Weapons, Ammunition, Bonds, and prepare to lower the bridge. Once the bridge is turned and the final stand begins, players will have to survive for four minutes against an onslaught of Outlaws and Runner Zombies while waiting for the bridge to be lowered. Additionally, should a player have made the choice to reassemble Nikola Tesla at the Tesla Lab before arriving at the town, he will appear as a boss fight. On top of that, if night comes, the respective enemies will also start spawning. Once the four minutes are up, the bridge will be lowered and the game will cut to black, with the "You Escaped!" screen being displayed.

Strategies
If a night (not a Cloudy Night or Stormy Night) occurs while in the Outlaw's Town, go on top on one of the houses and stand still to be safe, However It is not recommended to do so while the bridge has lowered, since the Outlaws can shoot at you and the Zombies can swarm you up there. It is highly recommended to deal with the Maxim gunners before entering the town. Using a Rifle or Shotgun will allow you to snipe them easily. One way to deal with them is going near them while holding a piece of Sheet Metal. This way, it acts as a shield as the gunners waste their ammo. However, this strategy isn't recommended as it is much simpler to snipe the gunners, and less risky unless the player is doing the "Pacifist" challenge. It is critical that the player loot the town before pulling the crank, as trying to loot while enemies are constantly spawning is not ideal. It is highly recommended to begin lowering the bridge as early as possible (recommended from 9:00 to 10:00 AM) to keep any extra enemies from spawning at night. In order to do this, leave the 70km checkpoint at around 8:00 to 9:00 PM, and arrive at 5:00 AM (Sunrise) to wipe out the Outlaws and immediately start lowering the bridge. For the Werewolf and Vampire classes, it's recommended to lower the bridge right before the night (at 8 PM) to have the ability of the class right after lowering the bridge.
Patch history
The tracks end at approximately 79250m, rather than 80000m. Formerly, they used to seemingly float until the bridge is lowered due to a bug/oversight. Due to a bug, the tracks may sometimes end at 77775m on Normal Modes, stopping the train before entering the town. It is currently advised to bring a horse along with you, in the case the tracks stop before entering the town. It is also advised that you do not stop moving on the horse in this case, after turning the crank. The Outlaw's Town wall texture seems like a more darkened wall texture, compared to Fortified Towns. Outlaw's Town has the most Entity variations that can spawn in/near it, currently with the highest amount of 11 entities as seen here. The "You Escaped!" screen will always display the final distance traveled as 80,000 meters, regardless of the Train's position. When the timer is up and the game is won, all party members will win, even dead ones. The player gets the rewards for the win right when the gunshot sound plays and the screen pops up, allowing them to immediately leave. The player can still take damage while in the end menu. Players can still die as a result of this. Though they don't need to be worry because their win is already counted. Unlike the death screen, the “You Escaped!” text is green, though the same soundtrack (End of the Line) is still being played. In the limited time Fool's Gold gamemode, there was a locked house that would spawn in Outlaw's Town which contained several Bonds and a Unicorn. The house could only be unlocked by using the Fool's Key.
