Lore

On April 27th, 1865, The Slain President's Train was on its funeral tour across the nation when it disappeared into thin air. The train failed to reach its destination in San Antonio, Texas and its believed to have derailed somewhere in the American desert. Abraham Lincoln's remains are still in his coffin waiting to be opened. It’s likely that outlaws derailed the train, causing many casualties like the conductors, and over the 34 years sand has covered up the bodies or they decomposed, explaining why the train is also weathered.

Strategies

It is suggested to not walk through the actual train, especially with a dead body, as it’s easy to get stuck within. As opening the casket takes time, the player should be advised of the time before raiding the Train. The loot from the Train is not necessary due to being outclassed by a single Bank, so players can choose to raid the Train or not depending on whether they need the loot or the run is a speedrun.

Patch history

It was added together with the Presidential Train in the 22/8/2025 update. Lincoln's skeleton uses the same model found at the Mysterious Island Lincoln's Funeral Train is actually a real train which was used for the same purpose as it was intended for in-game, transporting Lincoln's dead body. The only differences are: The real-life counterpart has 9 carriages and never derailed unlike the game's version The real-life counterpart's destination was Springfield, Illinois, not San Antonio, Texas.
