Miner Skeletons are hostile Entities that is exclusively found in the Sterling Mines. After players first step foot into the Mines, Skeletons will start spawning. Skeletons can be seen with the Roblox Skeleton Character, along with a head, a Miner Helmet, and a Pickaxe. Other than their appearance and animations, Skeletons are identical to Normal Zombies (before their rework) in terms of stats and behavior. However, their model slightly lags behind their actual position in the game, making them closer than they appear. Acid Skeletons are a variant of Skeletons that are sometimes found in the Acid Biome and drop puddles of acid when killed. Unlike normal Skeletons, they do not have a pickaxe or a broken mining helmet. They have slightly more health and speed than their normal counterparts and inflict the Acid effect when attacking. They often spawn in groups of 2-5, spawning anywhere throughout the biome. Normal Skeletons are Skeletons that can be found during the Yeat Event gamemode. They spawn exclusively in the After Lyfe Biome in groups of 2-5 and the Biome's Barricade in waves. They seems to just act and behave as pre-rework Zombies. After the Yeat Event is over, they can still be found in the Skeleton Maze spawning as enemies, or as allies from the Skeleton Grenade. Normal Skeleton allies follow the player and fight enemies for them. There are other variants of Skeletons which spawns at various locations. These Skeletons are mainly decorative and passive as they don't attack players or interfere with their games.

Strategies

Just like a Regular Zombie, any Weapon deals damage when fighting a Skeleton. However, it's best to use a Rifle or a Shotgun so you can kill them quickly. The player should kill them before they start getting abundant. Much like Regular Zombies, crowds are dangerous (especially in the limited space of the Mines). Skeletons are closer to you than they appear. Put more distance between yourself and its model than you normally do for zombies to avoid taking damage. It is highly recommended to kill Acid Skeletons with ranged weapons since they inflict the Acid effect when attacking and drop Acid when they die. After killing an Acid Skeleton, it is best to maintain your distance from their corpses to avoid coming in contact with the Acid their corpses leave upon death. Use Snake Oil or Bandages to heal any damage sustained from the Acid.

Patch history

Skeleton Miners spawn in with Pickaxes and broken Mining Helmets. Because of this, it is very likely that they are the miners that went missing in the town of Sterling. Skeleton Miners have an extremely high aggression range, though this might be due to them being structure spawns. Normal Skeletons were likely reskins of Walker Zombies since they shared the same stats, sound effects, and blood. Skeletons couldn't be used as Fuel in a previous version. This has been changed later on. Skeletons use the “Skeleton” bundle, and the “Skull” hat. Skeletons are the only Enemies that do not have the “Fuel” label on them. This is likely a bug, due to Skeletons formerly not giving any fuel. The Acid Skeleton's corpse is named just "Skeleton" with no mention of Acid. The Skeletons that spawns in the Mines are officially known as Skeleton Miners. Flaming Skeletons spawned via Fool's Gold will always have their limbs fall apart. No matter where players try to pick them up, they'll always end up only dragging the head instead. This can also happen with Vampires. A Skeleton replaces the Conductor NPC inside the Train Station during the Halloween event.
