The Barrel is a Junk item that provides a significant amount of Fuel when burned (exactly 1/8 of the entire tank). Due to its large size, it can also be used as protection, whether welded to the Train or used to block a doorway. It is primarily found in Abandoned Buildings, with an fairly common spawn chance. They are also guaranteed to spawn in large numbers in the Mines (most notably blocking the Jade Sword room) and the Castle.

Trivia
Barrels provide the most fuel out of all Junk items. They are also the second most effective common fuel item, with the first being Coal. For some reason, the Barrel is automatically held on its side rather than being upright. The reason for this is unknown. You can unstore the barrel onto a zombie to trap it.
