Its bones have been replaced with crystallized minerals over eons, creating an eerie, giant skeleton that still hunts the depths. bait: Obsidian-Bone

Skeletal Leviathan is an Exotic fish found in the Scoria Volcano during the Skeletal Leviathan Hunt. Due to its high rarity, it makes for a challenging catch, moving erratically across the fishing bar. When reeling it in, -90% progress speed (locked) is inflicted. When hooked, a pops appears above the player's head, and a shimmering sound is played - as with all Exotic fish.

Abilities

The Skeletal Leviathan possesses two distinct abilities designed to penalize progress and disrupt rod handling. This ability is a variant of the skills used by the Leviathan and the Profane Leviathan. Trigger: Activates once the progress bar exceeds 25%. Chance: 25% chance to trigger every 4 seconds. Effect: Reduces the rod's Control bar by 60% for 3 seconds. Instantly removes 30% of current progress. Limit: This ability can occur a maximum of Unlimited times per encounter. This ability functions similarly to the Frostwyrm's primary skill, focusing on passive drain and physics manipulation. Progress Drain: Decreases total progress by 5% over the duration span of 3.5 seconds. Input Debuff: Reduces the fishing bar's input by 50%, making it float significantly more than usual during the effect.

Recommend Conditions

It is recommended to use a bait with high resilience and luck, such as the Luminous Larva, the Sapphire Krill,or baits that have special ability like the Snail and Stag Beetle. On the other hand, it is also strongly recommended to use rods that have stab abilities like the Cerulean Fang Rod, the No-Life Rod, the Onirifalx, etc. The Invincible enchantment is required to catch in the Skeletal Leviathan Pool.

Catch Quips

IT'S ALREADY DEAD! A FOSSIL THAT FIGHTS BACK! BONES OF THE VOLCANO!

Trivia

As you can see, this is literally the skeleton of a Reaper Leviathan from the game Subnautica.
