Overview[1]
The Nocturnal Rod is a Stage Fishing Rod obtained in Vertigo for 11,000 C$.
The Nocturnal Rod is a early-mid game rod primarily used for the Bestiary, due to it's unique ability to catch nocturnal fish, fish that can only be caught at night, at any time of the day. The Nocturnal Rod has overall low stats but boasts a high of 70%. However, as compared to the Steady Rod, catching high-rarity fish proves to be more challenging, due to the low of 0% causing fish to move more sporadically across the bar. Nonetheless, it is still a decent rod for mid-game progression, and is recommended for players who are more experienced with the fishing mechanic. The tip of the rod glows white like the Destiny Rod, supposedly emitting light to "wake up" nocturnal fish.

Obtainment

Enchantments
It is not recommended to spend money to enchant mid-game rods like the Nocturnal Rod due to their obsolescence as the player progresses towards the late-game stage. However, if the player wants to spend a few to help catch fish for the Bestiary, the best enchantments are: For faster lure times, Swift or preferably Hasty. For fishing more easily and/or for perfect catches, Controlled or Resilient. Other viable enchants are: For improvement, Lucky, Divine, or best of all Immortal. Note that Immortal is an exalted enchant, and will require, which are better used on late-game rods. For overall stat improvement, Quality or Mystical. Note that Mystical is an exalted enchant, and will require, which are better used on late-game rods.

What does this mean?
Fisch's in-game currency. A fish's value is its documented average sell price in C$ — what it sells for at its average weight. A rod's value is its documented shop cost. Both are in-game facts from the community wiki, not a trading consensus. Values are not comparable across games.
