Quick answer

The sequel's biggest twist: when Nightfall hits, your neighbors become your problem. Fully-grown crops can be stolen right out of your plot — here's both sides of the heist.

How stealing works

After Nightfall, players can enter other gardens and harvest fully-grown crops for themselves. Growing crops are safe; ripe ones are loot. The night window is limited, so thieves optimize routes: high-value gardens first, mutated crops above all.

Defending your garden

  1. Harvest before dark

The simplest defense is an empty plot at night. Set your session rhythm around the day/night timer (our events page tracks it).

  2. Defensive pets

guards like the Bald Eagle snatch intruders; station defenders near your highest-value beds, not at the gate.

  3. Traps

placed traps punish greedy routes. Put them on the direct line between your plot's entrance and your best crops; thieves path efficiently.

  4. Decoy layouts

experienced defenders cluster cheap ripe crops near the entrance and grow the valuable stuff behind trap corridors.

  • Scout gardens before Nightfall; ripe mutated crops glow — mark your route.
  • Hit gardens whose owners are offline or mid-harvest elsewhere.
  • Take the two or three best items and move on — lingering in a trapped garden is how you donate your night window to a Bald Eagle.

The meta-lesson

GaG2's economy taxes idleness. The players who log in around Nightfall — to harvest, defend or rob — outpace pure idle farmers by a wide margin. If you can only play twice a day, make one of those sessions the minutes before night.
