Chicks are animals in 99 nights in the forest. They are the 2nd animal in the game that can't be killed or 6th mob that can't be killed.

Purpose
Their purpose is for the chick egg, tame or hit 6 chicks towards the nests laying in the coup. Once 6 chicks are sleeping in the nests, the egg will be able to put into the Easter Basket, thats all except for decoration for Easter.
Patch history
They can't be killed like the kiwi. Their appearance is like the new baby chicken from minecraft. They can be tamed with a carrot and an old flute. When tamed, its the only mob to not gain XP on the taming flute. (This has later been changed so they now give XP, as of April 8th 2026). If you hit a tamed chicken with any melee weapon, it will no longer be tamed. When you place Easter decorations, two chicks always appear. You can use a scythe or vampire scythe to attack the chicks to restore your blood meter, this will not kill them. Category:Entities
