Encounters
At the night of Day 3 (unaffected by multipliers from beds and the missing children), an event has a chance to happen during night where the top of your screen displays "something mysterious is flying above you". Multiple UFOs fly above the sky. One UFO will crash right next to your campsite along with an alien outpost tracker and an Alien corpse. For some reason the corpse isn't burnable or able to be sacrificed.
How to enter the Mothership?
The Mothership is the Alien Base and can be accessed by either fishing (if available) plundering at least 4 of the 5 alien outposts that spawn on day 3 when the outposts will spawn. once you defeat each outpost then an Alien Chest and an Alien Battery will spawn. Inserting 4 batteries into the ship next to your campfire will repair it, prompting it to hover. This will enable you to enter it by standing in the tractor beam.
Alien Elites
Inside the Mothership, there are Alien Elites, larger Aliens with grey skin. They serve as a living keycard of sorts. After killing one, you can hold its body up to the scanner to unlock the next room. Alien Elites have slightly more health and are more powerful than normal aliens. Only one Alien Elite can spawn per room except for the final room.
Tips and Info
Try moving around more often when attacking the Alien Commander, so that it will be harder for them to land a hit on you. He does A LOT of damage. Alien Troops in the mothership actually can't move, so it makes it easy to get to a spot where you can snipe them, but they can't snipe you. If you want to know if aliens are spawning in your gameplay then you might find strange symbols on the ground. The laser sword does slightly more damage on aliens, but it still does more damage than a spear. The Alien Mothership has three secret rooms: two in the start room, and one in the giant spiral staircase room. In the original room, once you've killed all the aliens, go to the top right balcony and kill the Alien Scout; a miniature blue alien. Don't worry, though it's Laser Sword may look dangerous, it dosen't actually attack you, it just runs away. It has the same speed as a sprinting player, and only moves if it's attacked. Once you kill it go to the Top Left balcony, and put his face on the scanner. Then you'll find a secret supply of Meat? Sandwiches. There's around 30 of them. 2nd secret room: in the first room you might be wondering about that unopenable door that was on the Top Right balcony. Go to the back of the room, and look to the left. you'll se one of those pads that need dead bodies. Find 5 Alien Engineers and put them on the pad, but you'll need to find the third secret room to get them all (See the next tip). Once you do that, that hatch on the Top Right balcony opens, and inside is the Alien-in-human costume dude from the intro.
Patch history
In the Alien update cutscene, Aliens don't attack cultists or The Deer, so they are probably on good terms. However, this is likely only due to gameplay purposes. Despite having futuristic weapon and armor, Aliens have very low attack damage and are overall easy to kill. The laser sword also deal more damage to them. This may explain that the aliens were fighting with other aliens but crashed to earth during the fight and that their equipment isn't designed to deal with Terrestrial creature. Aliens were apart of the first ever event in-game. It was simply called Aliens 2025. Since the Crafting Update, the Alien Event only occurs in a run by random chance instead of a guaranteed chance each run. Some players used to believe that if the player had Alien class that the Aliens from the UFO event would not attack them. This was false, for gameplay balancing.
