Overview[1]

The AT4 is a high tier rocket launcher added in the V2.1.4 update. It can only be found and purchased from Rebel Dealers. It is also obtainable from Presents with a very low chance. Similarly to the RPG, the AT4 features high damage and a large explosion, however what makes the AT4 different is its explosive power being much higher than the RPG. Though this higher damage and splash radius comes with the downside of costing $7,500 and only holding 1 rocket at a time, it also can't be reloaded or refilled so you better make that shot count.

Usage & Tactics

The AT4, despite its high damage and large blast radius, is not a weapon to be used lightly. It has a price tag of $7,500 and can only be fired once, making your one shot incredibly valuable. Therefore, it’s crucial to use your shot wisely. Like the RPG, the AT4 also has a stage system. After the rocket travels for 1.0 seconds, it enters Stage 2, where it has a larger blast radius. You could shoot it at a shorter distance, but considering the fact that you only have one shot is not recommended, but it is an option. The AT4 is a weapon best used from a safe distance and elevated positions, similar to the BFG. Its large blast radius and extremely high damage make it ideal for high-value targets or groups of enemies. It’s crucial to use this weapon wisely, as wasting it on a single target or those with no bounty could leave you vulnerable and in major debt. It should be obvious that this should not be used for close quarter combat. Due to its high blast radius, you could end up killing yourself as well as your teammates. Instead, the AT4 is best utilized in open areas where you can take advantage of its range and blast radius. It’s also important to communicate with your team to let them know if they’re clear of the target area when you fire. To sum up, the AT4 is a high-cost, high-damage weapon ideal for specific situations against high-value targets or groups. Its single-use nature and risk of self-inflicted damage require careful planning and comms with your team. Remember, once it’s fired, it’s gone, so make your shot count.

Pros and Cons

Extremely high damage. Nearly impossible to dodge a fully traveled rocket. Extreme knockback can fling people into buildings, killing them if the explosion itself did not. Can kill fully armored players, where the RPG cannot. Can truly fear players. Effective at long to medium range. Giant explosion radius. Great for eliminating big groups of people. Rocket travels quickly, making it deal maximum damage easier. Very expensive. Only obtainable through irregular means (Rebel Dealer, Mystery Crate, Airdrops, Presents). Can only be fired once (Can't refill). Takes 6 inventory slots. Makes you an immediate target. Must never be off guard while using. Must ADS to fire.

Patch history

The AT4 shares explosion SFX with the Panzerfaust-3, the RCUs choice for a rocket launcher. This weapon's appearance and name is inspired from its real-world counterpart, the Swedish AT4 The AT4 must ADS to fire, similarly to all explosive weapons after the V1.3.0 update. This was reverted in V1.4.0, making the AT4 the only weapon in the game require ADS to fire.
