The G-17 (Glock 17) is a semi-automatic pistol released on October 17th, 2020, as a part of the v1.0.0 pre-beta release of Criminality. It automatically unlocks when the user joins the game. It's widely considered a reliable sidearm for anyone due to its modest stats, forgiving slot usage and ammo. It performs well close to medium range and can pick off low-health players from a distance. It's a solid gun to carry around, but it won't win you any wars. This weapon is more beneficial for self-defense or picking off unsuspecting solo players. It can efficiently eliminate one or two enemies attacking you 5-4 shots to down an unarmored player). It's easy to control with good tritium sights for aiming in the dark.

Usage and Tactics
The G-17 is an ideal cheap backup weapon. For example, when a player uses a long-ranged weapon, such as a DMR, and must switch to a weapon better suited for CQC. The G-17 performs quite well, with its ability to quickly kill weakened opponents due to its fire rate and good damage. It's handy when you run out of ammo for your primary and need to finish off an opponent. The G-17 is also an excellent choice for beginner players because of its modest price of $250 at the dealer and $305 at Armory and the fact that it is automatically unlocked at the start. It is a solid pistol for practicing aim and recoil control. The clear, non-obstructive sights also make this a beginner-friendly weapon. Despite its somewhat low damage compared to other pistols, missing shots with the G17 is forgiving, as the large mag size makes doing so less punishing. Although the damage is similar to that of some assault rifles and carbines, it lacks the necessary traits to be useful at longer ranges. Its accuracy is worse, and has a much shorter range, which limits its ability to engage at such distances. It's still possible to hit enemies from long ranges, but it's not practical or recommended. The G-17 should generally not be regarded as a primary weapon when fighting multiple players but rather as a secondary firearm unless it is in the hands of an experienced player. The G-17 is a perfect example of a gun you can rely on when all else fails. It can be a defensive weapon against melees and an offensive backup sidearm in combat.

Patch history
This weapon is inspired from its real-world counterpart, the Glock-17. Despite the real-world counterpart's standard magazine capacity being 17, the G-17 only houses 14 bullets in-game, likely due to balancing concerns. G-17 Does have a decently high fire-rate, but to use it correctly you must try clicking only 4 times per second and doing faster than that will make it fire slower. Before 2.0 update G-17 almost have no recoil but it deal lower limb damage A modded G-17 currently exists in game, fitted with a suppressor and green laser.
