The M1911, is a powerful American style pistol released on October 17th, 2020, as part of the v1.0.0 pre-beta release of Criminality. It can be purchased at both Dealers and Armories with their respective price differences. It has a maximum unlock price of $86,700 and unlocks automatically at level 19. Caught up between the starter weapons and the more advanced weapons. It's considered a "good" sidearm for general use purposes. It's efficient in quick damage and will definitely take someone out in the right hands (4-3 shots to down an unarmored player). Its lower magazine count, however, makes it a bit underpowered against more than 1 person. The classic pistol is suited for medium ranges, where shotguns and automatic weapons don't take precedence.

Usage & Tactics
While excelling as a gun in close to mid-range combat, at long distances, it would be better to use a more specialized tool for the job, such as a sniper, due to their higher damage output and reliability at that range. Because of the unforgiving 8-round magazine and its low reserve ammo, timing your shots and not wasting any ammo is vital for using the M1911 at its full potential, as ammo will quickly deplete if you become too trigger-happy. Missing shots will likely lead to a player getting overwhelmed by another firearm with a higher mag capacity, such as a Beretta or even a Melee weapon. A player should try not to attempt a squad wipe with this, as its low ammo capacity will be your defeat amid a battle if you are alone or don't have a good melee. Overall, this gun performs great in the hands of experienced players and is an overall reliable firearm. However, it should not be used against automatics as they would be more efficient at the same ranges.

Patch history
This weapon's appearance and name is inspired from its real-world counterpart, the Colt M1911. On release, the M1911 had two models depending on which merchant it was bought from. The dealer model was widely considered to be superior over the armory model due to its better iron sights and general size. As of the 3/24/21 update the Armory model was removed and now the model will be the same, regardless of location. Category:Guns
