Usage and Tactics

Being a weapon designed for CQC, the MP7 is highly recommended to be used at close ranges. At medium range, the very high rate of fire and relatively low recoil helps it to hold its own against assault rifles, but without careful trigger control, ammunition will quickly be exhausted. Like most automatic weapons, the semi-automatic mode on the MP7 is almost completely useless due to its poor damage. The MP7 has a very high Rate of Fire. Due to the extremely fast Rate of Fire, the user will often find themselves out of ammunition and reloading often. However, its reload time is fairly quick, allowing the player to get back into the fight quickly. In general, when using the MP7, it is best to spray down an enemy or two at close range, and duck out of the way to reload before continuing the assault.

Pros & Cons

High fire rate. Good hip-fire accuracy. Low recoil. High mobility. Good iron sights. Generous stock. Cheap. Decent armor penetration. Can be upgraded. Low damage. Burns through ammo quickly. Limited to close range.

Strategy

It is the direct successor to the very popular MP5. This weapon's appearance and name is taken directly from its real-world counterpart, the Heckler & Koch MP7. The real life MP7 has iron sights capable of being folded or unfolded. The in-game MP7 has the iron sights unfolded. The game incorrectly models the gun firing 9x19mm Parabellum, when in reality the MP7 fires the much smaller 4.6x30mm cartridge. This also causes an inaccuracy in the ammo capacity, as the gun is modeled having a 40 round mag, when in the game it only has 25 rounds, but due to the gun being modeled with 9x19mm, the devs modeled the wrong mag.
