Twisted Vee

Overview^[1]

Twisted Vee is a large TV-screen, roaming Twisted that wanders the halls aimlessly. Reflecting her media personality counterpart, her unique ability allows her to bombard players with pop-up advertisements. These ads need to be closed by clicking the red "X" button in the top right of the pop-up window, pressing the "X" (or "B") button on an Xbox controller, or the "O" button on a Playstation controller. If you do not close out the ads, they block the view of the player's screen. She will send these popup ads to all players upon entering the Floor and every 45 seconds afterwards in groups of three. She poses no direct threat, and besides their tendency to cover Skill Checks and your vision, it's relatively harmless. Along with this, the pop-up windows will automatically close after 30 seconds of being on the screen. When she spots a Toon, she will make agitated electronic noises, and will also send a single pop-up ad. These ads will then inflict the Debuff to a player for approximately 5 seconds when she has begun to chase and will inflict it every 10 seconds if the chase is continued. The Slow II Debuff she creates can make her hard to escape (especially with Toons with low Movement Speed, such as, and (on even-numbered Floors) and her usage of such makes it much harder for any Toons to attempt escaping or distracting her. In addition to the pop-ups and her Slow II Debuff, if a Toon fails a Skill Check, uses an, or uses 's Ability, she will run to the source of the sound from anywhere on the Floor.

Stats

Attention Span: 3 seconds
Mechanic: Applies (-25% Movement Speed) to players being chased by Twisted Vee (10 second cooldown), as well as spawning pop-up ads on players screens (45 second cooldown). Can detect sounds from anywhere.

Appearance

Twisted Vee appears as a green TV with a black screen; she has a look of disdain on her face, which becomes more annoyed along with crying red pixels upon spotting a Toon. When she blinks, her face is replaced with multiple warning signs, with the surrounding text saying "LOOK AT ME!". Her facial features and bowtie are saturated into a natural green whilst her TV, torso, and microphone were changed into a slightly darker lime green. Her antennas remain the same, except for being drastically enlarged and drooping more, making her curved one be assumed to look broken. The gray spheres also vary in size, being slightly smaller or bigger than each other. Her torso seems to be split apart, with only the Ichor-covered wires holding her bottom and top together. Her feet are covered in Ichor, and her limbs are gray with mechanical, robot-like, dark gray indents appearing on them; she is revealed to have a tail with a microphone topper, and the microphone has a dark green handle with a gray grill.

Strategies

Escaping Twisted Vee during a chase is no easy task, especially while using slower Toons such as her Toon counterpart or. One way to get her to lose sight of you is to run around rooms in the Floor instead of circling boxes as you would with any other Twisted. Finding space to get a large distance between you and Twisted Vee will make your escape a lot easier, once you are a few rooms away from her, it's usually safe to duck behind boxes. Twisted Vee's presence is usually easy to notice, as her bright and vibrant colors don't blend in with most Floors (in contrast to some Twisteds like ), her ads make her presence apparent and her footsteps are easy to hear and distinguish from other Twisteds' footsteps. She should be relatively easy to avoid getting chased by so long if you're stealthy. If you have trouble distracting Twisted Vee, it's recommended you keep either an or near you if you're not using a 5 or faster Toon (eg. on 1), as Twisted Vee's Debuff can and will drain Stamina while distracting. To counter her Debuff, try to sprint tap enough so you're that you get far away enough from her while it's inflicted to ensure she doesn't get too close before the effect goes away. A suitable distance will make it unneeded to sprint when she slows you down, which allows you to conserve Stamina. However, Looey (on 1 Heart), (in Blackouts), with and // equipped, given the right circumstances, are able to naturally out-walk Twisted Vee. Try not to Distract her in small spaces or with other fast and/or dangerous Twisteds such as, and (in Blackouts).

Patch history

Twisted Vee's Toon spotting sound originates from Undertale when you get one of Mettaton's questions wrong or get electrocuted in his tile puzzle (this can be seen in this video when the person gets questions wrong and clearly be heard in this one, at the timestamp of 0:22). Coincidentally, both and Mettaton are electronic/robot-like Game Show hosts. Additionally, the sound that plays when Twisted Vee detects a failed Skill Check also originates from Undertale. The sound being when the Yellow SOUL shoots at Mettaton EX's heart during Mettaton EX's fight. From early concept art, Twisted Vee's original mechanic might have been something to do with the vents; most likely moving around in the vents or pulling players in. Twisted Vee is the only Twisted that does not make ambient sounds besides footsteps while wandering a Floor. Twisted Vee's pop-ups can be instantly closed on Consoles, Playstation 4 and 5 or Xbox by spamming the Circle/B button. Twisted Vee, along with and, are the first Twisteds to hear a failed Skill Check from anywhere on the Floor, with the second being, and the third being. Twisted Vee is the only Twisted to not have red eyes, having a small red line on her eyes instead. In her attack face, she appears to be crying red pixels which are the same color of the lines on her eyes. She is the third Main Character Twisted to have an attack face, with the first being, the second being, the fourth being, the fifth being Twisted Astro and Twisted Shelly, and the sixth being Twisted Gourdy.
