Description

The Gunner Elf is one of the final units that spawns from the Elf Camp. It spawns when the Elf Camp is at Level 3-4, replacing the Cannoneer Elf. As with other units, it starts from the end of the map path and moves towards the entrance of the map. It has a spawnrate of 30 seconds. The Gunner Elf fires in bursts of 6. Whenever there are enemies in its range, the Gunner Elf will stop moving and attack enemies with its snowball launcher. As the snowballs fired by it are a projectile, they may not hit the intended target but a different enemy instead or miss an enemy entirely. It will continue walking when there are no enemies left in its range. Two Gunner Elves spawn each time starting from Level 4. These are not one unit, but two units.

Appearance

The Gunner Elf has dark skin and brown hair. It wears a green shirt with a brown belt and red details, green and red hat with golden stars and goggles on top, dark green pants and brown shoes. It wields a snowball cannon that it attacks enemies with.

Strategy

The two Gunner Elves that spawn can be quite useful during the mid to late-game because of their high range and DPS. On two-pathed maps, only one/two Gunner Elves will spawn per Level 3-4 Elf Camp. Each one will go down a random path. The Gunner Elf has hidden and flying detections, making them quite useful against such enemies. The Gunner Elf cannot collide with Ghost enemies like Souls, but it can attack them. The Gunner Elf can deal full collision damage to enemies with defense, like the Heavy or Elite Abnormal. Its gun damage is still affected. The Gunner Elf is not affected by any buff or debuff. The Gunner Elf will struggle against any enemy with abilities that damage units because of its low health. For example, if the Fallen King uses its Sword Swing attack, and a Gunner Elf is caught in the attack, it will die instantly regardless of how much health it has.

Trivia

The Gunner Elf is the first unit to have hidden detection.
