Sunken Sanctum is a map introduced in the New Day Update. It is a flooded church with stained glass depicting heroes and themed around mana. There are 32 followers around the map that can be removed with mana to free up space to place towers in.

Tips
It is good to use Maitake or Dumpster Child (using both makes it better and easier too) in the first few waves, due to Maitake's crowd control and Dumpster Child's fast damage. Beebo is a really good character for this map due to its fast reload speed, long range, he takes turns around the map, being able move through it and less space. Soda Pop is also really good due to Splash Damage, High Range and Fast Attack Speed. In sooner waves it is very recommended to take out Followers since removing them can give you more space. Voca can also be pretty good because of her long range, less space occupation and splash damage, which will be effective in Wave 36. Stunners are a really good choice since El Goblino and Byte can do a plethora of stuns at the same time. Nuki can also be a great choice because of its range that can fit the whole map with Balloon Pal if placed in the middle, it's minions and the launcher can also be affected by Balloon Pal's range. Nuki's summons can also be spawned on water, keeping them from taking up too much Tower space. Hotdog Frank is very useful due to its AOE high damage. Buzzer is useful since it has a lot of dps and is long ranged. Quinn can be sometimes useful (she does occupy a lot of space) but if used correctly, you can use her ability to slow down enemies in wave 36 and she works well with Byte Lemonade Cat can be used to farm in certain occasions. Discount Dog is invaluable here because of the disabled mana sharing, needing significant mana to take a follower out and strong enemies which can hinder players from farming.

Sunken Sanctum has story relations with Relentless Reflections with the relations of stardust. The music of Sunken Sanctum had some parts teased in the map's teaser. The music is also the first track to incorporate multiple time signatures in its piece. This is the second map/quest to be able to teleport enemies without being summoned or being part of a modifier; the first being Grasslands. Sunken Sanctum is likely based on The Dark Sanctuary, the main setting of Chapter 4 of Deltarune. Both take place in large dark blue churches with flowing water. This coincides with the secret Yasuke skin on this map being a reference to the main character of Deltarune, Kris. Both locations also revolve around a prophecy. The music on this map also takes a short excerpt from the Deltarune song “The Legend”. The music in general shares a phonetic similarity with the themes heard throughout the Dark Sanctuary in Deltarune. There is also a playable Organ in the map, which Deltarune's 4th Chapter also has. Sunken Sanctum takes place inside of Silent Sanctuary. The stained glass depicts Wizard, Chef, Lucerne, Maitake, Scientist, and Mako. Initially, hard mode Lucerne accidentally had an extra zero attached to her health which caused her to have 1.2 million HP on release.
