Usage

The Mirage Island is a special island that functions differently from all the other islands. It is the place where the Advanced Fruit Dealer, and the Blue Gear for Race Awakening are located.

Spawning

The Mirage Island can spawn if the player sails a boat in Sea Danger Level 2-6. Once spawned, the Mirage Island will despawn if: 15 minutes have passed. The player who spawned it is not near Mirage Island. This also means that the island will despawn if the player that spawned the island dies or disconnects. There is no cooldown for the Mirage Island to spawn again. It can only be found in the Third Sea and is one of the rarest sea events to occur. Each player in the players Sea Exploration Group raises the chance of a Mirage Island by a little, but the chance is still low. Contrary to certain beliefs, the Mirage Island can spawn anytime, day or night.

Race Awakening

Resonating the player's Mirror Fractal requires night time and the Sealed King quest started to work. The process to get Race Awakening occurs on this island. The player needs to have a Mirror Fractal and go to the highest point of the island and wait until night. Note: The highest point is the only mountain with no grass. You can also resonate your Mirror Fractal on the mountain in the middle of the island. If the player activates their race's ability and look at the moon for about 5-15 seconds, the moon will shine, giving the message: "Your has resonated with the moon." Note: This does not take away the player's Mirror Fractal. The player can activate the Mirror Fractal on every stage of the moon. After that, the player has to find the blue glowing gear before the Mirage Island despawns. Note: The Blue Gear will despawn when night ends, or when the Island disappears. Once it is found, the player will get the message: "You found a weird artifact…" and "You hear a distant chiming from the Temple of Time." Once the player touches it, they will now be able to pull the lever at the Temple of Time.

Tips on Finding the Mirage Island

If the user uses Buddha, transforms, and zooms in, they can see better in Mirage Island. A less frustrating way to find Mirage is by despawning Sea Events with either Portal's V or C skill. It is also possible to have a Kitsune user distract certain Sea Events, such as Terrorsharks. It is highly recommended to look out for the Mirage and in groups, scattered in their own respective ships. The island's spawn rate will increase based on the number of ships in the area, not the number of players in a single ship. The optimal time to start searching for the Mirage Island is at sunrise, so that night will begin around the time the player finds the island, giving them enough time to look for the Blue Gear. It is recommended to use a ship with high HP/or fast speed ships (e.g. Miracle) when searching for the Mirage Island. A good example of this would be the Lantern, the Guardian and the Beast Hunter due to all of them having high health. The Sentinel can also be recommended due to its high speed. However, it has a lower health, which may not fare well against some of the stronger sea events. It is fast enough to outrun the sea events ( e.g., Terrorshark, Sea Beast, and etc.) but poor ability to dodge attacks from the mentioned sea events will cause too much damage, and it would most likely bring the boat down. The Miracle also works well, being able to avoid every sea event except for a Terrorshark. The player can use the Kitsune Mask accessory to make it easier to see in Sea Danger Level 6 making it easier to find the island.

Notes

The Mirage Island contains several Fragment Fragment Chests (giving 100-250 Fragment) and Mirage Chests (giving 7,500-13,000). If the player has already found the Blue Gear, they will not be able see it anymore, so only players who have not found it have the ability to see and find the gear themselves. When the player is on Mirage Island, they will have their vision reduced during daytime, and severe darkness during the night. The player can find an Advanced Fruit Dealer on Mirage Island. The Advanced Fruit Dealer functions the same as Blox Fruit Dealer but has a separate stock that changes every two hours instead of four and has a minimum of 7 fruits in stock. As of the Valentine's Update, the player does not require a full moon to resonate their, the player only requires it to be night-time. If playing alone, it is recommended to look for Mirage Island at Sea Danger Level 3-4 instead, since sea events at Sea Danger Level 4 or 5 may be hard if not done with a group. However, the spawn rate will be lower.

Trivia

The Mirage Island is based on a real phenomenon, called a. The Mirage Island also has the same effect as a, as it can only be seen from afar and fades as the person gets closer. The Mirage Island used to have its soundtrack removed due to a bug, making it temporarily the only island in the game without a soundtrack. But as of February 28, 2024, it was fixed and re-added after a bug fix. Destructible Physics does not work in the Mirage Island. Rarely, when the island despawns, the chests may occasionally remain. However, trying to loot the chest won't do anything. While using The Sentinel or Miracle, the Mirage Island does not affect the height level of the flying boat. Exceptions: if the player found the Treasure Island, the Haunted Shipwreck, the Prehistoric Island or the Frozen Dimension.
