Usage & Tactics

The M320 has three different types of rounds it can shift between: CS Grenades, Explosive Grenades, Incendiary Grenades And Smoke Grenades. Each of them has special attributions and works differently. You can change between types of rounds by pressing the V key. CS Rounds are identical in effect to Armory CS Grenades. They can be used to deploy a cloud of tear gas around the impact zone. CS Rounds can be used for crowd control and area denial. Explosive Rounds are frag grenades that explode on impact and deal high damage. It is good to know that if you manage to hit a direct hit on someone they will instantly go down. These grenades are also used for breaching places as you can break the door in one hit if you hit the door. These are the most used grenades out of all the available options. Incendiary Rounds are flammable grenades that share the same effect with Molotov and Incendiary Grenades. This type of rounds explodes when it reaches the surface, igniting some area where it was shot, so it is best used for blocking pathways, doors and other choke points. Smoke Rounds are equivalent to Smoke Grenades. They will generate a cloud of smoke that can reduce visibility for a short period of time. Unlike CS Rounds, Smoke Rounds do not apply any debuffs. Despite being ineffective at one-on-one combat, using the M320 Grenade Launcher can make you a very high value target. The M320 is best used under the protection of a group, ideally alongside a powerful sidearm.

Patch history

Each type of round corresponds to a specific type of throwable in-game. Explosive Rounds correspond to the Frag Grenade, CS Gas Rounds correspond to the CS Grenade, Smoke Rounds correspond to the Smoke Grenade, and Fire Rounds correspond to the Incendiary Grenade, Molotov This is consistent with the fact that the weapon in question is, indeed, a Grenade Launcher. This weapon is mostly used against gangs due to its range and power. This was the first non-event explosive gun available to the public. During V1.3, you were required to aim down the sights to be able to fire the M320, this trait was shared with all other explosive launchers, like the RPG and HL-Mk II. Despite being very expensive and requiring Armory, the M320 is considered a very underpowered weapon mainly due to its choice of projectiles.
