Usage & Tactics
The M4A1 is a powerful yet expensive rifle popular with many players and primarily used to form kits. There are many unique ways to utilize this weapon, which makes it an extremely versatile weapon which suits all sorts of different playstyles. The weapon is mostly intended for medium to long ranged fights, but it performs equally as well at at shorter ranges, depending on the scenario. Because of the relatively low recoil, it is considered by many to be the best automatic rifle for all sorts of fights. Combined with good damage, the high fire rate allows it to shred any opponents at a closer range quickly. The M4 is capable of damaging opponents from far away, thanks to its range and accuracy. making it a great choice for longer range encounters for those who don't want a sniper but still desire a weapon with long range potential. When used with upgrades, the M4 has less recoil, favouring the use of full auto to a further range than the vanilla version, however its damage against armoured targets is further reduced, as the base damage to an armoured player becomes 10.29 before damage drop off at range, requiring at least 10 hits to torso / arms in comparison to 7 for the vanilla M4 (provided that the armour does not break during this). As a result, the modded M4 favours unarmoured targets in comparison to the vanilla version and makes it inferior as an option against players using armour.
