The M60, which is the first Light Machine Gun (LMG) introduced in Criminality, was added on November 24th, 2023, as part of the V2.1.4 update. This weapon is notable for its high overall damage and armor penetration, and it can hold 100/100 ammunition. It is one of the more high-tier weapons in the game.

Usage & Tactics

The M60, with its high damage and armor penetration, is a formidable weapon. With a price tag of $7,000 and takes 7.5 slots, it's fire rate and effectiveness at any range make it a versatile choice for players. While the generous ammunition capacity ensures sustained fire, the M60’s strengths come with a few trade-offs. The M60 is situational. It's low mobility can be a disadvantage. Additionally, obtaining the M60 can be challenging as it is only exclusively available through the Rebel Dealer, Mystery Crate, or Airdrop. When using this weapon, it’s better to position yourself at elevated heights. Due to its low mobility, taking cover and moving around can be challenging. This also applies to reloading, as it has a significantly long reload time of 8 seconds. While the M60 boasts a decent fire rate and high ammunition capacity, keep in mind that firearms such as the G18 or the MP7 can still down you faster than you can down them. Though it may not visually appear when deployed, the M60s bipod will reduce your recoil by a substantial amount. To use the bipod simply crouch. Uncrouching will return the recoil back to its normal and much higher state.

Patch history

The M60 is the first LMG in Criminality. The M60 is a real gun that uses 7.62x51 NATO cartridges, and has been featured in many forms of media & wars; the most prevalent being the Vietnam War. It possesses the biggest magazine in SECTOR-07 among publicly released weapons. The M60 has the longest reload in the entire game for a gun. In real life, the M60 is actually classified as a GPMG or a MMG. (General-Purpose Machine Gun / Medium Machine Gun) instead of the often believed LMG (Light Machine Gun). Although, it's light enough to be carried by one person so it's a mix between a MMG and a LMG. The right classification is infact GPMG because it can cover both the roles of a LMG and a MMG. The M60 is the first gun to breach the 0.8 armor penetration cap, excluding BFG. By the description of the gun itself, it's suggested that it's loaded with AP Rounds (Armor Piercing).
