Overview[1]
Banana is a Secret catch in Fisch, found around Ancient Isle — sells for about 18,500 C$ per kg. In-game bestiary: “A simple banana, rich in potassium. How did it get in the water?”
The Banana is a Secret fish caught at Ancient Isle. Due to it's rarity, it cannot be found in the Bestiary, and makes for a challenging catch, moving erratically across the fishing bar. When hooked, a will pop above the player's head, and a shimmering sound is played - as with all Secret fish.

Notes
The chances of fishing a Banana are affected by the stats of the rod, an Aurora Borealis and other factors. The best rods to get the fish are low weight limit rods such as Fortune Rod, Training Rod, and Flimsy Rod. This limit reduces the chances of catching other fish hence increasing the Secret fish's chance. The Banana can be caught more commonly in the Ancient Isle Pond, due to it having no Mythical fish, further increasing the chances to catch other fishes, including the Banana. Ancient isle's waterfall is also considered better when the player uses any of the aforementioned rods with a low, but the player could still obtain Mythical fishes here, which decreases the odds of fishing it.

What does this mean?
Fisch's in-game currency. A fish's value is its documented average sell price in C$ — what it sells for at its average weight. A rod's value is its documented shop cost. Both are in-game facts from the community wiki, not a trading consensus. Values are not comparable across games.

Patch history
The Banana is one of the first 11 Secret fish added to the game. It was introduced in update 1.15.0. If this fish is, it will say "Peanut butter jelly time" as a reference to the meme that was popular back in 2002. When this fish is appraised into a new highest weight, the message indicating so will appear as an animated black and white gradient - as with all Secret fish.
