The Reinforced Rod is a Stage Fishing Rod obtained from the small cave in Desolate Deep for 20,000 C$.
The Reinforced Rod is a fishing rod that can be used to fish in areas that normal rods cannot fish in, such as the Brine Pool, Using this rod is one way to fish in the Brine Pool. Besides that, it can also be used to fish in Roslit Volcano, like the Magma Rod. Fishing in either of these two areas can yield geodes (either coral or volcanic respectively) which can provide fishers with Truffle Worms, a rare bait which gives a huge boost in finding certain mythical fish such as The Kraken. can fish in toxic waters and lava.

The Reinforced Rod is a fishing rod that can be purchased from the Merchant by going to the left passage upon descending into the Desolate Deep.
Notes
It's recommended to enchant this rod if aiming for 100% bestiary completion. Its best enchantments are generally said to be Resilient, Steady, Controlled or Mystical to help catch Legendary and Mythical fish, Swift, Steady or Hasty to catch fish faster, and Quality for a minor buff to all stats. The player may also use Storming alongside a Tempest Totem for the highest luck boost. There is a common bug where you can't catch fish with the reinforced rod because it doesn't let you shake. To fix that just unequip and re-equip Reinforced Rod. This Rod can also fish in the lava from Roslit Volcano

Patch history
Any Rod with the Enchantment Invincible (obtained by using Exalted Relics.) can fish in the Brine Pool. Compared to the Magma Rod, it has considerably greater Lure speed and a much greater max weight - making farming within the volcano much more viable of an option. It is not recommended to be used outside these areas though, due to its low stats. Currently, this is the only rod able to fish within the Brine Pool making it necessary for 100% bestiary completion (unless the player gets exceptionally lucky fishing with the Wormhole Enchantment or if the player uses the Invincible). This is the only rod that allows the player to fish in ANY body of water (Ocean, Lava, Brine Pool's water) without enchantments. Stats changed in Update 1.29.0.
