Overview[1]
Mines The Ripped Bank Note (also referred to as Ripped Bank Combo) is a puzzle item in Dead Rails. It is found in Sterling.
Similar to the regular Bank Note, the Ripped Bank Note can be used to open the vault of the Bank in Sterling. One complete Note consists of 5 Ripped Bank Notes. The note pieces must be found around the Town and inside the Mines. Once the code is assembled, the player can use the pieces as if it were a normal Bank Note to open the vault.

Bugs
There is a bug right now where all the ripped bank notes across Sterling will just display 0, making it impossible to open the bank vault without blowing it up with Dynamite or any explosive item or using the Horse glitch.
Strategies
You can rotate the ripped notes to arrange them in order. The 5 pieces can fit together in the right order. Assemble the code on solid ground outside since they have a chance to clip into the floor if done inside. The first and last notes make it easier to assemble the rest. Since each piece of the code always spawns in the same locations, memorizing the location of each digit and saving each one in the correct spot prevents you from having to use Sack storage to bring them together. The chat feature built into Roblox is recommended to save the digits. You can also write them down somewhere or memorize them. You could place the first and end notes first to make it easier to assemble the rest.
Trivia
Ripped Bank Notes are called XPiece in the files, where X is the ripped note's digit. The Permanent Marker font is used for the numbers. Technically, it is possible to open the Sterling bank safe without the code. However, this will likely require an extreme amount of time or luck due to the number of possible combinations. There are 7776 possible vault code combinations, calculated by the equation 6x6x6x6x6. Category:Puzzle Items
