Train Fortification; Teammate Distraction The Rock is a Junk item in Dead Rails.
Rocks are Junk items obtained by mining Ores, with each ore rock spawning 2–3 rocks upon being mined. They are bulletproof so they can be used for train fortification, and rocks are common and able to be instantly mined using a fully charged pickaxe. Players can also line the bottom edges of the train and car with rocks to prevent enemies from climbing on.

Trivia
The Rock is one of four Junk items that cannot be sold — the others being the Jade Tablet, the Tumbleweed, and the Strange Machine. Rocks use the same model as Coal, but are a different color and significantly larger. This is the one of the most useless Items in the game, as it cannot be sold and can't be used for Fuel. Although it can still be used to fortify the Train due to being bulletproof, its relatively small size prevents it from doing much. Category:Items Category:Junk
