The Saddle is an item used exclusively to tame wild Horses and Unicorns. It can be found in certain Buildings and purchased from the General Store in a Fortified Town. To use, drag the saddle onto a target; the mount will equip it permanently, even if it dies.

Strategies
Since Horses run away when approached, corner them against a wall to apply the saddle. Use the Train or a nearby Building as your barriers. Prioritize taming Horses before dismounting for any other task, as they may flee if startled. When using the Vampire class, you can outrun escaping Horses to secure the saddle.

Patch history
When using the Cowboy class, the game indicates you will spawn with a tamed Horse; instead, it spawns a Saddle and an untamed Horse nearby. Horse class players can place saddles for others to ride, but they must be mounted by another player. Players using the Horse Class move slightly slower than actual Horses; the same applies when using the Horse Cart. The Horse Class user is in control rather than the rider, unlike the case of normal Horses. When a player with the Horse Class wear a Saddle, another player can drag the Horse Class user around and even weld them to the train like a real Horse. In the latest update, a Bug prevents saddles from responding to mounts—including Unicorns and Horse class—regardless of placement. Saddles from General Stores can be equipped on Horses without having to be bought. To do this, bring an untamed Horse into a General Store and either bring the saddle to the Horse or make the Horse run into the Saddle. Do note that the Saddle will not restock if the player does this. The four Apocalypse Horses use a golden Saddle by default. Category:Items Category:Tools
