Strategy
It is recommended to use the horse class in a team as it can be useful in solo runs it is generally recommended to be use in teams as your teammate can ride you.
The increased movement speed allows players to run from all enemies indefinitely except for Outlaws on Horseback.
Being mounted by another player can allow both players to attack at once, allowing for a higher speed (for the mounted player) and damage output.
Welding items to an attached Horse Cart and repeatedly jumping until it can be stored in the player's Sack is a known bug which allows players to carry additional items. Unstoring the Horse Cart will cause all welded items to fall to the ground.
Pros & cons
Moves at 25 studs per second, instead of the usual 16.
Can pull Horse Carts for increased storage or other applications.
Can allow the player to be ridden using a Saddle.
Immune to damage from Explosives.
Patch history
The horse class had a bug, where scripters could obtain it using a remote arg. This was patched in the potion update, so now it just says 'Class Not For Sale!'
The Horse class was the first event class that cannot be purchased with bonds, requiring completion of the Horsing Around game mode. The second event class is the Eggslinger, which requires the same as the Eggstravaganza game mode.
Players using this class with a Saddle equipped should not be near Soldiers, Outlaws as they can be mounted by them, increasing the player's hitbox and partially blocking their vision. You can have them dismount you by heading far enough from the base so they despawn.
