Overview[1]
The order of which each liquid is poured out|“Fuel’s Running Low…”; Can be thrown; Milkman The Glass Bottle is a Tool item in Dead Rails.
The Glass Bottle is a fairly common item which can often be found within Towns. It is primarily used to collect and store Liquids. The Bottle can also be thrown, destroying it and spilling its contents where it lands. Additionally, the Bottle can be sold for $30, regardless of the amount or type of Liquid inside. Like the Molotov and Holy Water, throwing it will send it into parabolic flight. To store a Liquid within the Bottle, the Bottle must be dragged on to a puddle of the said Liquid. The Liquid will then transfer slowly into the Bottle, filling the Bottle. Liquids can be stored in increments of 2.5%, meaning that a maximum of 40 drops can be stored in 1 Bottle. To throw a Bottle, players must be holding it inside the inventory. To pour out its contents, players must be dragging it. Liquids have a certain priority order when being poured, making it so that certain liquids always poured first. While the exact order is undocumented, the following information is known: Primordial Soup is always poured before Milk, Unicorn Blood, and Angel Tears (in no particular order). Angel Tears are always poured after Blood and Unicorn Blood (in no particular order).

Strategy
Throwing Bottles is generally wasteful, since the Bottle is destroyed with no way to pick up excess liquids (unless you have spares), along with the thrown liquids not being dispersed very well. They are best suited for storing liquids and pouring them out when needed. You can store Bottles in your Inventory instead of Sack, which has virtually limitless space. Try storing Bottles in your inventory to save Sack space for other items that cannot be stored in the inventory. Since Bottles are found relatively frequently in buildings and sell for more than silver bars, they can be an easy way to earn lots of money.
Trivia
In a way, "Empty" is considered as a Liquid inside the Bottle. The item's name in the inventory is "GlassBottle" rather than "Glass Bottle," which can make the name appear awkwardly on some devices. The bottle doesn't need to be upturned for it to be able to pour, likely for simplicity. While the Bottle has no visible cork or lid, it doesn't spill its contents even if upturned unless the user is pressing the pour button, suggesting it might be a Codd neck bottle. This could be a possibility since the Codd neck bottle was made in 1872. The bottle provided for the Milkman class cannot be placed into the Inventory. A naturally found empty bottle displays "Empty: 3L" which could suggest that the bottle can hold 3 liters of liquid. This means that each drop of liquid (2.5% of the bottle) is worth 75 mL each. In the game files, each drop of liquid is expressed as 0.1. An entire bottle of the same liquid would be expressed as 4. Category:Weapons Category:Tools
