The Spear of Longinus is a Melee Weapon added in the Wonder Weapons update. It is similar to the normal Spear, featuring significantly higher damage than the majority of melee weapons and slightly higher range. However, it also comes with the ability to cover its targets in Holy Water. It can only be obtained from purchasing it at an Evil Church. Higher damage than standard melee weapons. Higher range than standard melee weapons. Covers targets in Holy Water, doing significant damage over time. Slower charge rate compared to other melee weapons. Shakes the camera when equipped. Difficult to find due to Evil Churches being rare and not always having the item.

Strategies
Most strategies for the Spear work for this weapon as well, due to the two being very similar. It can instantly eliminate Zombies with the combination of a charged hit, uncharged hit, and the Holy Water damage.
Trivia
Its name in the inventory is "LonginusSpear" rather than "Longinus Spear" or "Spear of Longinus." It is possible that this is intentional by the developers to save space, or perhaps just an oversight. Unlike other melee weapons, it does not seem to occasionally glitch out and become unusable. It is the cheapest of the Wonder Weapons at $250. It shares lots of similarities with the normal Spear, which is likely a result from developers reusing code and other data. They are held in a manner more similar to firearms (with 2 hands and facing the player's direction), rather than how other inventory items are held (with 1 hand and vertically). They also play a unique animation when held. They play a stabbing animation when used, instead of the standard swing animation used by most melee weapons. Unlike most inventory items, they shake the camera when equipped or used. Their charging animations are noticeably shorter than their actual time to charge. They also take the same amount of time to charge. The Name "Longinus" is based on a Roman soldier who pierced the side of Jesus with a lance according to the Bible. He later converted to Christianity, becoming an official Saint of the Church. Despite having different animations in first person, the third person view is identical to standard melee weapons (similar to the old Spear). Spear of Longinus is based on Spear of Longinus in Evangelion, despite having a different ability. Spear of Longinus was the only Wonder Weapon which does not spawn when the barricade in Lyfestyle Biome explodes.
