Overview[1]

Flash Flood is one of the 13 disasters in Natural Disaster Survival. During a Flash Flood, the water level will begin to gradually rise, eventually fluctuating around a certain height. Submerged blocks and plates will be periodically unwelded or destroyed, causing weaker structures to collapse, and increasingly destabilizing larger and more stable buildings.

Guide

Storm clouds appear along with a windy soundtrack. There are a total of 6 disasters with the same warning sign. Seek high and stable ground, for example, any TrussPart. it is not destroyed by flooding. Balloons can be used to prolong the amount of time not submerged in water. Being too high on structures is unsafe as their collapse could cause significant fall damage and can even kill you. Avoid unstable structures with too little support, such as the billboard in Furious Station and the radio tower in Fort Indestructible. In maps with tall terrain, such as in Modest Headquarters, Surf Central, Party Palace, and Manic Mansion, players can press against the walls to trick the game into thinking that they're not fully submerged in the flood. Maps with tall terrain act as flood-proof foundations for buildings and structures, allowing them to better withstand floods. Apples can be consumed to replenish health and survive longer. Players with Balloons can jump constantly up and down whilst the Flash Flood is at its full elevation. This will make damage less constant.

Trivia

Surviving a Flash Flood in Happy Home rewards players with the “House Flood” badge. This disaster is not realistic as being submerged in water does not immediately deal damage. The Flash Flood is often considered one of the most challenging disasters to survive as players must stay on tall buildings despite them being prone to collapse. On the Arch Park map, the floodwater rises beyond the highest point of the map (the arch), making survival extremely difficult without the balloon or apple. Other than this map, there are a lot more that makes survival of flood very hard (or extremely hard). Arch Park itself, Fort Indestructible, Furious Station, Lucky Mart, Party Palace, Rainbow Ride, Rakish Refinery, Trailer Park are those which have relatively low survival rates. The floodwater only begins to affect player health once it has fully engulfed their lower body; this can be exploited for survival. This disaster is shown alongside Coastal Quickstop one of the thumbnails of Natural Disaster Survival. Flash Flood is very rare to appear instantly in the next round when it was previously chosen on different small maps and large maps. This is the only disaster with clouds not to have sound effects. Flash Flood does not destroy TrussPart even if it rises above them.
