Description
The Field Medic is a unit spawned by the Mercenary Base at Level 5 or higher. The Field Medic receives a single upgrade when the Mercenary Base is upgraded to Level 6. It spawns next to the Mercenary Base and moves towards the entrance, whereupon it disappears. The Field Medic will walk until it is slightly behind the unit closest to the entrance, after which it will move alongside it. If the Field Medic is the unit that is the closest to the entrance, it will continue walking, eventually colliding with the entrance or an enemy. The Field Medic can only heal humanoid units, and it always focuses on units that are closest to the entrance. It also adds a shield to units, which protects them from enemy abilities and prevents them from being frozen. The shield has a 15 second cooldown before it can be applied again. While it has no limit in regular gameplay, there is a limit of 3 Field Medics per Mercenary Base in PVP. This limit, however, does not work, meaning there is actually no limit on how many Field Medics can be spawned.
Appearance
The Field Medic has pale skin and blond hair. It wears a black shirt, green pants, black belt and shoes. It also has yellow shades with blue lens and a white band on its left arm with green outlines and green crosses. On its back, there is a dark green canister on its back. It wields a heal ray gun that it uses to heal units.

Strategy
The Field Medic is very useful at making units survive for longer due to its healing. It can also be useful at preventing units from being damaged by enemy abilities, though this in most cases is only useful on the final wave. Do note that it can only target humanoid units; units that are not affected include the Minigun Sentry and the Humvee 3. While the Field Medic can be used to collide with enemies due to it's high health, Riot Guard is better at this role.
Trivia
The Field Medic is the first support unit in the game, the second being the Ice Turret. Curiously, the Field Medic can heal the Missile APC.
