Description
The Guardian Elf, internally referred to as the Warrior Elf, is one of the units that spawns from the Elf Camp. It spawns when the Elf Camp is at Levels 3-4, replacing the Elf. As with other units, it starts from the end of the map path and moves towards the entrance of the map. It has a spawnrate of 20 seconds. Whenever there is an enemy in its range, the Guardian Elf will stop moving and attack the enemy. It will continue walking when there are no enemies left in its range. There's a limit of 4 Guardian Elves per Elf Camp.
Appearance
The Guardian Elf features light skin, blonde hair, and a serious, downturned expression with distinct light blue freckle clusters under each eye. Its outfit consists of a green tunic with a red bandana and red outline at the end of a sleeve, and a brown belt with a gold buckle. It wears a tall green shako hat decorated with a gold star, a black under outline, and red accents along the top. It wears dark pants tucked into pointed brown boots that feature white socks. Wields a silver-bladed sword with a red grip and orange guard.
Strategy
The Guardian Elf is can be quite useful against slower enemies, such as the Molten, Slow Boss or Fallen Giant. However, due to its low range, it will struggle against faster enemies with high health, like the Fallen, Bolt or Molten Necromancer. On two-pathed maps, only one Guardian Elf will spawn per Level 3-4 Elf Camp. It will go down a random path. The Guardian Elf can be useful against Hidden enemies with low health, like the Hiddens and Fallen Souls, though it will struggle against hidden enemies with higher health, like the Hidden Boss. The Guardian Elf cannot collide with Ghost enemies like Souls. The Guardian Elf can deal full collision damage to enemies with defense, like the Heavy or Elite Abnormal. Do note that its melee attack is affected by defense. The Guardian Elf is not affected by any buff or debuff. The Guardian Elf will struggle against any enemy with abilities that damage units because of its low health. For example, if the Fallen King uses its Sword Swing attack, and a Guardian Elf is caught in the attack, it is instantly defeated.
Trivia
The Classic skin is based on the Cookie Guard enemy from Cold Ambush.
