Description
Derelict Outpost is a private server-exclusive map. Derelict Outpost has the All Paths modifier. The All Paths modifier duplicates all enemies for each path with the exception of major bosses. It also increases Coins Coins and rewards by 10%.
Design & Path
Derelict Outpost takes place in a foggy marshland covered in trees. The map features a few light grey broken buildings with wooden roofs, as well as a large light grey brick castle. There is also an inactive lighthouse at the side of the map. Multiple trees, fungi and bones are also scattered across the map. There are three paths on this map, all of which originate at a hole in the ground. The middle path goes through a few broken buildings and takes a few turns. The left path leads over the marsh, with groups of logs being placed over the water. The right path leads through a bunch of trees and around a lighthouse. All the paths meet up at the castle, which is the exit.
Rewards
The game calculates how many Coins Coins and you receive based on how many waves you survived and if you won a match. During periods of 100% more (Friday – Sunday), any earned is multiplied by 2x through the XP Boost modifier. The VIP gamepass also multiplies any earned by 1.25x through the VIP Boost modifier. These two boosts are additive. Regular boosts are multiplicative with other modifiers present on this map. Any rewards that end in a decimal point is rounded down, no matter the first figure of the leading decimal.
Strategy
All enemies, except major bosses, spawn thrice on this map because of the All Paths modifier. The increased amount of enemies allows you to gain more cash by damaging enemies. This can be further increased by using the Cowboy or the Golden Cowboy. Major bosses like the Fallen King spawn on the right path. Keep in mind that the map has a dense atmosphere, making it difficult to see far distances throughout the map. There are two spots where all paths are close to each other or intersect, with them being near the enemy spawn and exit. You should generally place your towers around these areas. Area of effect towers like the Rocketeer and Mortar can also be quite effective on these spots. The Pyromancer is especially useful as it can easily handle hordes of enemies. It can also reduce the defense of enemies, enabling your towers to do more damage to enemies with defense. If you are using cliff towers like the Ranger, it is best to place them around the exit as that area has the highest amount of cliffs. For spawner towers like the Crook Boss and Military Base, only one unit will spawn, which will go down a random path. Due to more enemies spawning, you will gain more cash than normal games, meaning you can afford towers that are usually too expensive on normal one-pathed maps.
