The Supply Depot Key, also Vault Key or Fort Key, is a miscellaneous item in Dead Rails.
The Supply Depot Key is used to open the Supply Depot found in the Fort Constitution. It is dropped by Captain Prescott after he is killed. Obtaining this Item is required to obtain the Cannon.

Patch history
The model likely resembles the Mann Co. Supply Crate Key from Team Fortress 2. The Fool's Key is an enlarged version of this, used to unlock the locked House at the Outlaw's Town. Despite it looking to be made out of gold, it cannot be sold. If the player kills Captain Prescott and revives him (e.g, Jade Sword, Necromancer class, etc), he will drop another Supply Depot Key. However, this seems useless as players don't need more than one key, additionally, its size is too small to be used as fortification.
