Thunderstorm is one of the 13 disasters in Natural Disaster Survival. During a thunderstorm, lightning strikes hit the map, destroying buildings and killing players. During a thunderstorm, dark clouds cover the sky of the map. Yellow lightning will then strike the clouds. It is one of the disasters to feature clouds. The lightning bolts flash down every two seconds. This disaster destroys the top of buildings, but it is quite easy to avoid. One bolt can destroys all bricks hit by it and kills players on a direct hit. If you are near a lightning bolt when it hits, you can take damage, lose your limbs or hats, or get launched off the island.

Tips & tricks
Lightning can strike areas other than the island, so remember that you aren't safe during a Multi Disaster when staying on a volcano or a mountain, standing on the fishing deck or inside the well in Coastal Quickstop, on the dock in Factory Frenzy, or the small bridge in Devastation Station.
Never shelter under isolated areas such as the seesaw and slide in Happy Home. You will only boost your chances of getting struck as lightning bolts tend to strike tall objects, especially if left exposed.
The only isolated object you should shelter under is a tree, as it makes lightning unable to hurt you as long as you stay close to the trunk.
Patch history
If you get in the helicopter in Fort Indestructible and survive a thunderstorm, you get the badge "GET TO THE CHOPPA!",
If you get struck by the last bolt of lightning in the disaster, you get the badge "Chance". Though this is very rare, but you can increase your chances if you start jumping on higher ground.

There are 45 lightning bolts in each thunderstorm,
The old Thunderstorm disaster featured louder sound effects, which were replaced in the current version of Natural Disaster Survival.
