Devastation Station

MapsNatural Disaster Survival

Overview[1]

Devastation Station is one of maps in Natural Disaster Survival. This map was added alongside the Retro TD Collab Update.

The map features a small railroad named the Natural Disaster Survival Railroad. There is a gray path leading to a level crossing, which the player can control at the press of a button. The path then leads to a train station named Devastation Station, the namesake of the map. A tall, brown coal hopper is found beside the station, dumping out brown cubes at the press of a button on the interior. Multiple trees scatter the outskirts of the map. Railway tracks loop around a significant portion of the map, with one section hanging off the island in the form of a wooden bridge. The tracks also diverge near the level crossing, leading to the station and the coal hopper. The sidings can the controlled by players to switch the train onto different sections of track. A black 0-4-0T saddle tank engine rests next to a water tower which can be driven by players. It automatically couples up to the freight cars near the train station, including an open-top wagon under the coal hopper, a cattle car at the station, and a caboose behind it. When the cars are coupled up to the locomotive, it is automatically able to pull them along the tracks. Two handcars, one near the coal hopper and another near the far left of the map, can also be driven by players, though they are unable to couple up to anything.

Surviving Tips

Acid Rain - Hide inside the coal hopper or under a tree. Avalanche - Go behind the structures or find a cave in the Mountain. Blizzard - Hide in a corner of the coal hopper, with other players. Deadly Virus - Stay away from people. It depends on what the infected players do. Earthquake - Stay away from the coal hopper and jump repeatedly on the grass. Be aware that the wooden bridge will fall into the ocean during the earthquake, instantly killing anyone unless they have a balloon and can jump onto firm ground before the bridge falls. Fire - Stay away from the burning bricks and stand on the grass or go to the water tower as the fire can't reach it. (not recommended) Flash Flood - Try climbing the water tower or coal hopper and hope for the best. Meteor Shower - Stay inside, go outside and dodge the meteors as best as you can, or go on the bridge as meteors are not programmed to fall that far away from the island. Sandstorm - Go to the opposite side of where the bricks are flying. Tsunami - Try climbing the coal hopper and jump off when the tsunami reaches it. Thunderstorm - Hide inside the station or coal hopper. Tornado - Stay far away from the tornado. Going to the wooden bridge is another option, as the tornado cannot reach it. Volcanic Eruption - Go on the volcano or stay far away from the volcano.

Trivia

This map is featured in the game's thumbnail or event thumbnail, showing Devastation Station being affected by a Tornado disaster. The train in the map is likely based on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad C-16 class switchers. The thumbnail that shows the map during a tornado appears to depict two trains in the map, despite the map only having one. This thumbnail is meant to connect to one of Retro Tower Defense's thumbnails, creating one full image. This map is based on an earlier submission from Chloroplast similar to this map called "Loco Commotion." It's one of three maps to have an extension beyond the edge of the island. The other two are Factory Frenzy and Coastal Quickstop. The thumbnail and icon were replaced on 10/23/2025 at 10:39:44 PM (GMT-3). The previous original icon and thumbnail designed by Stickmasterluke were removed and are no longer showcased. It is the newest map in the game.
