Effects

The Helmet provides the player with a flat +15% damage reduction. The Helmet also significantly reduces the damage of bullets that hit the player's head (similar to Ironclad Zombies or Covenants), though the player still takes full damage if the bullet hits the eye slit or the chin.

Strategy

A full armor set gives a 50% damage reduction. Currently, the Helmet is the only item that be purchased in the Lobby's General Store for 7 Bonds, but can't be purchased anywhere in Fortified Towns. The Alamo and the Knight spawn with a Helmet. The Ironclad also spawns with one, at the cost of 10% reduced movement speed. This Helmet and the other Armor pieces are based off of Ned Kelly’s armor, an Australian Bushranger infamous for his shootouts against the police, and in later years, became a pop culture legend. Due to a bug, players can keep the damage reduction from removed pieces of Armor until they die or another piece of equipment is equipped in that slot. Despite Frankenstein has a modifed Helmet, it does not start with one. Additionally, the sides of Helmet resemble the tip of a Lightning Rod. Category:Armor
