Overview[1]
-10% Health, Damage, and Speed at the start. The Cursed is an offensive Class in Dead Rails.
Cost: 50 Bonds The Cursed begins each run with 10% reduced health, damage, and speed. These stats will increase by 1% every minute up to the maximum bonus of 15% increased health, damage, and speed after 25 minutes. 1x Shovel Gains 1% increased health, damage, and speed every minute. Due to a bug, there is no maximum cap. Boosts accumulate automatically and are permanent. Fairly expensive at 50 Bonds. Starts with 10% reduced health, damage, and speed, making it even weaker than None during the first 10 minutes. Maximum stats are very weak compared to other classes that provide stat boosts. Takes 25 minutes to reach full power, making it less effective for speedruns.

Strategies
Play cautiously during the early game, as Cursed starts with reduced health, damage, and speed. Avoid taking unnecessary damage and play more safely until the curse weakens. If playing with teammates, let them clear Towns while you safely loot the Buildings until the curse weakens. Once the curse has fully weakened and your stats have increased to +15%, take advantage of the bonuses to gain an edge in combat and survivability. Health: Pair the increased health with Armor to become even harder to kill. Damage: The increased Damage provides a slight boost to all weapons. Rifles and Shotguns combined with the boost can easily shred even strong entities like Werewolves. Speed: The increased speed provides a slight advantage when traveling on foot. This is useful when a Horse is unavailable, or during combat. Cursed is useful in long games (and Endless Mode) due to its infinitely increasing stats.

Trivia
The Cursed's Damage bonus can exceed the stated +15%. It is currently unknown whether this behavior is intentional or a bug. The Cursed and the Werewolf Class have similar abilities, as both have Health, Damage, and Speed modifiers. However, the Werewolf's bonuses only apply during the night, while the Cursed becomes stronger the longer the run lasts. The Cursed is among the slowest classes in the early game with a speed of 14.4. This is the same as the Werewolf Class during the 2nd day onwards and the Ironclad.
