Werewolf (Class)

ClassesDead Rails

Overview[1]

0.9x damage, speed, and health during the day. items: 1x Shovel

Cost: 50 Bonds The Werewolf class has significantly increased stats at night, providing players with significantly increased survivability and combat capability. This comes with the drawback of having slightly less stats than average during the second day and onwards. The buffs will take effect at 8-9PM and the debuffs will take effect at about 6AM. During the first day, the Werewolf will have the same stats as the None class. x1 Shovel 200% melee damage, speed, and health at night. 300% gun damage at night, likely due to a bug. 190% gun damage during the day (excluding the first), likely due to a bug. Somewhat expensive at 50 Bonds. 90% melee damage, speed, and health during the day (excluding the first). Nighttime buffs are difficult to make use of without a Mining Helmet. Werewolves spawn much more frequently after night 1 and onwards.

Strategies

Get a Mining Helmet as soon as possible so you can see during night time. The Miner class can give theirs to the Werewolf to allow them to dominate, even on the first night. The Lantern can also function as an alternative, although this is more practical for searching dark buildings than for combat. The Werewolf can take advantage of its enhanced movement speed at night to outrun enemies until they despawn. This allows players to remain safe even when outside a Fortified Town without a fortified Train. Raiding structures becomes much easier at night thanks to the significantly increased stats. If you don't have a Ranged Weapon before the first Town but you have a teammate, you can wait until night and make all the Zombies come after you. Lure them onto the tracks and have your friend run them over with the Train. Playing with teammates can be helpful due to the speed reduction at day reducing your productivity. Using a Rifle is super useful as this class does significantly more damage at night, allowing you to one-shot most enemies. Stay with your guard up during Blood Moons as Vampires can appear. As this may not seem like at problem, there is currently a bug, where Vampires get stuck to the player and can't teleport. This is when a friend is crucial, as going AFK could lead to this happening. It can be useful when completing the Pony Express challenge since the increased stats at night eliminate most of the danger. If in combat, it is highly recommended to retreat to safety when the sun rises before losing your power.

Strategy

This class has one of the highest movement speeds during the night. The other classes are Vampire, Horse, and Milkman. This class has one of the slowest movement speeds during the day. The other class is the Ironclad class. Although the Werewolf's health bar might look like it healed at day, this is caused by the max health being reduced and causing the current health takes up more of the new health bar. The Werewolf Class is one of four classes to ever get an official portrait made of them. The others being Doctor, Vampire Class, and Elf Class. It shares the facts that there are entity counterparts of the latter two, and that they were all included in the Christmas Bundles 2025. Category:Gameplay Category:Classes Category:Ability Classes
