Strategy
The Navy Revolver is an excellent weapon for the early game due to its damage, but gets outclassed by the Rifle in the mid-late game, so it's better to sell it if players have enough money to buy a Rifle (or already found one).
The Navy Revolver is good when it comes to killing any Zombies due to it being able to kill them with 2 headshots, compared to normal Revolver 3 headshots.
Jade Sword can kill the low health the Zombies get after 1 headshot to instantly kill them in a decently charged swing, and converting them to allies.
Pros & cons
Decent base damage - can kill multiple enemies (NPCs) with 100 health in two shots at close range.
Decent critical damage - can kill multiple vampires in two shots at close range.
Relatively common in many different buildings. Especially Gunsmith, Sheriff's Office and Outlaw Camp.
Always guaranteed to spawn at Safe Zone Gunsmith.
Always guaranteed to spawn at Fort Constitution.
Suitable for close and medium range shooting. But still decent for long ranges when aiming.
Very high DPS.
It can be resold for.
Patch history
In the real world, Navy Revolvers were revolutionary because of their lightweight construction and high rate of fire compared to previous Revolvers.
Realistically, the Navy Revolver(Before remake) is supposed to be a blackpowder Revolver which requires blackpowder, percussion caps and more which is instead replaced with Revolver Ammo in-game. This could imply that the Navy Revolver found in game has been converted to fire normal Ammo.
In Update 1/11/2025, the Navy Revolver was given a new model revamp alongside the animation revamp.
