Description

Ducky D00M was the final boss for D00M's Revenge as part of the Duck Hunt Event. It held a very high amount of health with an above average speed. Uniquely, it could not spawn until the last plot of land was cleared, which prevented it from spawning in perpetuity. Ducky D00M is unique in that, like P3NGU, it did not directly try to reach the base. Instead, it would circle around the map, firing off its abilities, only directly attacking the base with its Chainsaw Dash ability. Ducky D00M had seven abilities. Its first ability, the Rocket Barrage ability, caused Ducky D00M to fire off a barrage of rockets in certain directions. Towers caught in the rockets' explosions were stunned. This could only happen during its Rage Mode ability. Its second ability, the Chainsaw Dash ability, made it retract out two chainsaws as it charged towards the base, dealing 100 damage, and stunned any towers that it ran over during this ability. Its third ability, the Trundle ability, was a passive ability that simply caused towers to be stunned if run over by Ducky D00M. Its fourth ability, the Minigun Spray attack, made Ducky D00M spray its miniguns at towers, which stunned them. This could only happen during its Rage Mode ability. Its fifth ability, the Nerd n' Shotgun ability, caused Ducky D00M to fire its side guns, which shot out bullets in a shotgun-like fashion, which stunned towers and dealt at least 50 damage to units. Its sixth ability, the Nerd Laughter ability, caused Ducky D00M (or the "nerd") to squeal loudly, which simply shook the camera, disorienting players.

Appearance

Ducky D00M was a giant robot duck armored with steel plates. On its head there were two big red horns and two smaller ones behind it. It had glowing red eyes and an orange beak. On its stomach was a hatch, which when opened showed a yellow duck with black eyes, orange beak and black glasses that controlled Ducky D00M using numerous levers inside of the torso. The duck that controlled Ducky D00M was described as a "nerd". It walked with treaded feet, with legs that could extract. On its wings, there were two blasters that were used to attack towers. There were also two miniguns and two quad missile launchers under its wings. Upon activating Rage Mode, Ducky D00M's body extended itself further from the tread-tracks.

Strategy

It is recommended to stall Ducky D00M from spawning to give yourself more time to place and upgrade towers. You can stall Ducky D00M's spawn by leaving one plot of land not purchased. You can purchase it later when you are ready. This is generally not necessary, as you will get a lot of cash from Ducky D00M itself along with passive income. Do note that, if you decide to stall the game for about half an hour, the game will begin spawning only P3NGUs, which combined with their absurdly high health will render the game practically impossible. Due to its Chainsaw Dash ability, it is recommended to keep as much health as possible. It is not recommended to let some enemies leak early on due to this ability. Placing Medics earlier on to heal any lost health ensures that enough health may be kept for the Chainsaw Dash. However, do note that after Ducky D00M spawns, no more health can be healed back. Towers with high DPS, like the Minigunner, Pursuit, Ranger, and Accelerator are highly recommended for defeating Ducky D00M. The Commander can be used to decrease the firerate of these towers. Its Call to Arms ability should be used when Ducky D00M is in range of your towers. Additionally, the DJ Booth can be very useful in increasing these towers' range so that Ducky D00M stays in the range of your towers for longer. The Ranger is highly recommended as Ducky D00M often walks out of range of most ground towers. The Ranger has a high enough range to cover the whole map and constantly attack Ducky D00M.

Update History

17 April 2022 - v1.2.0 Ducky D00M added. 28 May 2022 - v1.2.4 Ducky D00M removed.

Patch history

Ducky D00M is a new version of Ducky D00M that appeared in Eggy Island during Spring 2020 Event, which is controlled by Ducky D00M's son (the "nerd") that has come for revenge. Ducky D00M has the fastest speed for a major boss in the game, beating even the Void Reaver during its Void's Deathwish ability. Ducky D00M could destroy objects on the D00M's Revenge map by running into them. These included the trees and the table with a sign listing prices for food. This was purely visual and did not affect gameplay. The objective dialogue states to defeat the duck that controls Ducky D00M, which it described as a "nerd", instead of Ducky D00M itself. Ducky D00M is currently tied with Krampus from Krampus Frosthold and Primordial Drakobloxxer for the second most abilities in the game, only behind the Frost Spirit from the Operation I.C.E Event. Ducky D00M is the first enemy to have an ability that only affects players and not the towers. When Ducky D00M was defeated, the "nerd" would be flung out of it.
