Description

The Void Reaver is the final boss of Hardcore mode and Voidcore mode that spawns on Wave 45 and 50 respectively. It has the highest health out of all enemies that appeared before it, but it is also the slowest until Void Deathwish is activated. In Voidcore mode, it debuts alongside the Void Caster, which acts as a support for the Void Reaver, reviving it, summoning in enemies and giving it a shield. The Void Reaver has six abilities: The first is Cursed Blade, where the Void Reaver slashes its sword forward, applying a 100% Fatigue Debuff and 20% Scared Debuff to towers. For towers hit up close, the debuff values are doubled. In both cases the debuffs will last 8 seconds. Additionally, the attack also summons in six Blessed Souls. The second is Void Judgement, in which the Void Reaver raises its sword into the sky and causes beams to appear on six towers, cursing them until the Void Reaver reaches 0 health. The third is Unnerving Gaze which has the Void Reaver slam its sword into the ground, causing three portals to appear that later turn into a Void Eye, an enemy which will fire projectiles at towers and units, stunning and damaging them. The fourth is the second phase for the Void Reaver is Void's Wrath, triggered once it reaches 60% of its health. In all modes, this unlocks its next ability, Void Rupture, but in Hardcore and Voidcore modes, it will also gain a 25% speed boost and in Voidcore specifically, it also summons in the Void Caster. Entering its second phase also gives it a new appearance. The fifth ability that is unlocked after Void Wrath is Void Rupture.

Logbook Description

"Being the right hand and most prized giant created by the Void Caster and enhanced by Lord Exo, the Void Reaver is the epitome of the Void. Its power alone makes it one of the strongest creatures conceived. As it crossed the battlefield alongside Void Caster during the battle of the Old World, the Void Reaver slew countless Two X’s warriors. Many of the giants fell during the battle, making them incredibly rare to find. As it walks, it contaminates the ground for the Void flora to grow. Where the Void Reaver walks, the Void takes root, the soil blooming with the pale, quiet flowers that mark land the eternal nothing has claimed. No one has ever seen the limit of its strength, because nothing has ever come close to using it. The battle of the Old World ended before the Void Reaver was truly tested, and Void Caster has not since found someone worthy for it to target. What it is truly capable of still remains a question. Above all, the Void Reaver answers only to her, and it falls still the moment her song reaches it."

Appearance

The Void Reaver has dark purple skin and six eyes. It wears black and purple body armor covering its entire body and a mask covering most of its head. There is a purple hexagon on its chest. The Void Reaver has purple spikes and horns on its body, which once in Void Wrath, are accompanied by even more pink spikes. Upon entering Void Wrath it will also rip its mask off. It carries a large broadsword to attack towers with.

Strategy

As with most major bosses, high DPS towers such as the Juggernaut, Pursuit, Ranger, Turret and Accelerator are recommended to deal with the Void Reaver. The Commander, Medic and DJ Booth can also be used to boost these towers. As the Void Reaver has the Boss attribute, meaning majority of stalling options are unable to stall it. The Freezer, Frost Blaster and Sledger can only chill the Void Reaver instead of freezing it. The Electroshocker, Tesla and Warden also cannot stun it, and have a weaker slowing effect on it. Make sure to sell any Farms to maximize the number of towers attacking the Void Reaver. They do not produce any income anymore, still count towards your tower limit, and can be replaced by a more useful tower. The Void Reaver's Void's Deathwish ability activates at 180,000 health in Hardcore mode or if the Void Caster is killed in Voidcore mode, making it significantly faster, running past defenses. Replace your towers quickly when the Void Reaver gets out of range. Use towers with long ranges like the Ranger as you will no need to waste cash replacing it. Using high health units such as Riot Guard is recommended. The Pursuit is also very effective as you can reposition it. The Void Reaver can curse towers, which effectively stuns them until it is killed. For more important towers, it is generally recommended to sell and rebuy them.
