Description
The Frost Spirit is the final boss of Frost Mode. It was also the final boss in Easy and Hard difficulty in the Operation I.C.E Event, where it appeared Wave 25 at Easy difficulty and Wave 40 at Hard difficulty in Outpost 32. It moves at a very slow speed, however it possesses an high amount of health, and in Operation I.C.E Event, an even higher health count than most other event bosses. Its health was boosted by 50% in True Form - a version which was activated in both Easy and Hard difficulty in Operation I.C.E Event through the Elite Token activation for the Roblox Winter Spotlight Event. The Frost Spirit has seven abilities, three of them can be used at any point, three of them are only used by it after entering its second phase and one which is its second phase activation: The first ability is Frost Spikes, where the Frost Spirit swings its scythe into the ground, creating a forward column of ice that freezes towers and units caught in it for 4 seconds, also dealing 1,600 damage to units. The second ability is Ice Storm, which makes it summon 50 icicles from the sky, which fall down and can stun towers and units, freezing them for 5 seconds and dealing 825 damage to units. Its third and last ability usable at any point is Summon, where it slams its scythe down and raises its hand upwards, summoning nine enemies. These can be the Frost Acolyte with a 30% chance and 1.5 delay, Frost Hunter with a 40% chance and 0.75 delay and 0.25 delay and Frost Invader with a 30% chance and 0.25 delay. Each enemy has a 20% chance to be Bloated.
Logbook Description
"The Frost Spirit is one of the most powerful entities in the Frost Realm. Leading his own army, he commands all creatures under his domain. His followers fight unwaveringly for his cause as he demands absolute order and sacrifice to fulfill his desires. Once enraged, his arrack patterns change."
Appearance
The Frost Spirit is an entity with purple skin with multiple dark purple veins on its body. On its right hand, it has blue fingers which it uses to hold its staff with. It wears a white robe, which has a fur outline around it and a hood, which covers most of its head other than its neon blue face. On its shoulders, multiple blue and purple thorns stick out, which are going through its robe. On its back, it has two purple and blue ice wings, which it uses to fly above the path during some of its abilities. Multiple chains are wrapped around its body and wings, with some being attached to the bands on its arms and torso. It also wears dark grey pants and grey shoes. It holds a giant scythe which it uses to perform some of its abilities. On top of its head, it has a blue halo. During Antarctic Armageddon, its appearance will change. Most notably, its halo will turn purple and the crystals that form it will become uneven and bent. On its wings, the chains that surrounded it will be removed. Similarly, the collar it wears around its neck will disappear, though the chains connected to it will still remain there. Its walking animation will also change, with the easiest to spot change being its chains on its arms now swinging more as it moves.
Strategy
High DPS towers like the Ranger, Pursuit, Engineer, Gatling Gun, Turret or Accelerator are highly recommended due to the Frost Spirit's extremely high health. Due to its ability to jump between paths on maps with more than one path, it can often go out of range of your towers, making towers with high range ideal here. While not necessary, the towers having flying detection is also useful in these situations, as it allows them to damage it while it is a Flying enemy. Support towers like the Commander, Medic and DJ Booth are extremely beneficial in buffing your towers. Do note that the Medic's shield cannot protect your towers from freezes As all of its abilities freeze, Stun Immunity has little use against it, though the Gatling Gun can still fire when frozen. The Mercenary Base's Field Medic can be used to protect units from being frozen or damaged, though do note there is a cooldown before it can be applied after it has been broken. As the Frost Spirit has the Boss and Freeze Immunity attributes, it is heavily resistant or fully immune to most forms of stalling.
Trivia
The Frost Spirit is a returning boss from the Frost Invasion Event; awakened by Master Kronus and the Children of Exo during the Operation I.C.E Event to attack T.D.S, the fictional organization that the player is fighting for. Its theme is a remix of the older Frost Spirit's theme. The Frost Spirit has the most abilities out of every major boss in the entire game. However, in Frost Mode the True Form ability is essentially nonexistent, which would make the Frost Spirit have the same number of abilities as the Rift Walker and Ducky D00M outside of the Operation I.C.E Event. The Frost Spirit is the second boss to be able to switch paths, with the first being Krampus from Krampus Frosthold. The Frost Spirit is also the first and only evergreen enemy that is able to switch lanes via the Switch Path ability. The Frost Spirit is the strongest Flying enemy when using the Switch Path ability, albeit only for a few seconds. The shards that are required to unlock True Form are the Frost Spirit's halo based on the Winter Spotlight description. The Frost Spirit is unaffected by enemy appearance modifiers, such as Talk Like a Pirate Day.
